Ummm.. just a quick observation (feel free to ignore it if you like). Doesn't the Asus A8N-SLI have a "special" feature called P-E-G mode, where it (covertly) overclocks PCI-x graphics cards? You might want to try turning it off and see if it resolves it. It could be either a timing issue...

With the F4 BIOS, if I tried to run all four of my DIMMs (two Corsair and two GEiL), it'd fail over to the second BIOS which was still flashed with the F3 BIOS. It wouldn't give you any idea that it was the RAM that was causing the issue, and would appear as if you had a bad BIOS flash...

Well... I just got back from having breakfast with my woman, but that's another story for another time. ;) Here's the deal. I tried setting my machine for a 250Mhz FSB, but it won't boot at that speed (even when lowering the HT multiplier to 4x). I'm pretty sure it's my RAM holding me back...

Uninstall the GFX and nForce chipset drivers. Re-install the chipset driver first, then re-install the graphics driver. If you read back in this thread, you'll find an older post of mine where something similar happened to me too. It was all related to my drivers.

Your CPU multiplier is locked (highest it'll go is 12x). It won't prevent you from going LOWER though. What you need to do is lower the multiplier and then raise the base CPU speed (used to be the FSB on older systems) from 200, to something higher. -B

The CPU score is a tad low because of me running with four DIMMs. I tried the same test, but instead of running at DDR400 equivalent speeds on the RAM, it's running at about DDR355. I barely get over 8,000 CPU points in AM3. I have an ATI 9800Pro (128MB card). I'm waiting a little bit...

To elaboarate... whenever I do the CPU tests (or run AM3), the framerate drops into the single digits. I have OC'ed my video card (9800Pro to XT speeds), but even when I un-overclock it, it still runs that way.

I know. 3DMark does the same crap whenever it does the CPU tests. I'm thinking it's the F3 BIOS myself, but it's a possibility that it's because I'm using four DIMMs. I'll pull them and re-try it.
