I purchased 6 of these for the office last year and they are great monitors. The only complaint anyone had was the lack of controls and they are very bright. You can use software to adjust it though.

Help no DMA option

Without more information, I don't know if anyone can help you with this. Please post the Acer model number and the HDD model too. If you don't have any third party tools, you can use MSInfo32 to get the HDD information.

Any Benefit to using HDMI Port?

There will be no benefit using a HDMI converter to go from HDMI to DVI on a monitor. Just use the DVI port on your video card.

Data migration issue

Running a RAID 0 configuration without some form of backup means you are willing to lose all your data if one of the drives has an issue. It seems odd that you don't have some form of backup since you are running a RAID 0 configuration. To guarantee you don't lose data, I recommend you get one...

If your BIOS shows it on POST, then I would think you would see it in Disk Management. If you don't see it in Disk Management, then try it on another PC.

I think it will be tight if it fits at all. I haven't been able to find out the dimensions of the internal space before you get to the hard drive enclosure area. If it's just as large as the biggest mainboard it will accept, then you need a card that is 9.6" or less. I believe the average 6950...

That's a fairly low end card (it can do OpenGL if I remember correctly). I guess it really depends on what you are doing in the applications as to how powerful of a video card you need. Look for a 6850 or something like that instead of the 5450,
