Did a clean install last night and so far it's running pretty smoothly. Haven't really encountered all the problems that people kept saying about Vista.
People buy Madden because they don't make Tecmo Bowl anymore. If they still made Tecmo Bowl I would get that instead too, but unfortunately they don't.
I don't think it's the system's problem, because Madden '07 for all 3 next-gen systems play really poorly. I don't know if it's a case of the EA programmers not fully understanding how to work with the next-gen systems or what. But if I were you I'd either just get Madden for the PS2 or XBox...
I'm building a core 2 duo PC for my 15-yr old cousin. It's mostly going to be used for gaming and web browsing. What's a reliable, yet affordable (< $150) mobo for a E6400? I just need a mobo that's easy to set up and works right out of the box after I plug everything in.
Is the drive noisy? I've used Maxtor HDs before and they've always been really loud compared to WD or Seagate. This is a great deal and I'm tempted to get it, but if the drive is unbearingly loud, I might just have to pass.
I'm looking to get a 20.1" WS LCD. A couple of my friends suggested the Dell 2007FWP, since it's a good balance of performance and affordability. Plus I like LCDs with the USB ports on the side. So is this a good buy for $360? Or is there a better 20.1" WS LCD out in the market right now?
Nice try. So now you're trying to scam ppl at another URL?

I ordered it last night when it said backordered. I figured what the heck. I got a confirmation email today that it's been shipped! What a pleasant surprise!
Not bad, although you can get the same 10% off at the apple store online via student discount. And no, you don't actually have to be a student. If you do it online they have no way of verifying it. You just choose a random college or the college that you used to go to.
I would've gotten one before, but with all the problems that ppl are having, I think I'm just going to wait for the next model when they've fixed all the bugs.
haha, but it's not $1000 all at once. You can buy the XBox now, the Revolution next spring/summer, and PS3 next fall/winter. That's $1000 spread out over a year's time. It's not that bad. :)
I guess it just depends on preference. I had problems with a Sapphire 9800PRO previously, and most of the PC magazines I've read only ranked Sapphire as the 4th or 5th best vid card manufacturer, behind other brands like Asus or MSI.
Why is this even considered a deal? Maxtor + Refurb is the worst possible combination for your PC. For $20 more you can easily find a deal for a brand new Seagate or WD 250 gb SATA.
Pretty much every other week there is a deal to get the X800 Pro Retail for $199 shipped. I got mine from ZZF 2 weeks ago. Unless you're in a rush, why would you pay $179 + sh for a refurb?
Bought HL2 from them. No manual, non-working key, and a noticeable scratch on the disc. Yes, it's less than $10, but still. I'm not going to support a company like that anymore.
