Game Crashes

I had similar issues with the games I was playing (Halo, Doom3) and it was related to my soundcard, try using your onboard sound and see if you still have problems.

What soundcard do you have? You should list your whole rig(Mobo, CPU, peripherials, PS, etc.) as it may help save time diagnosing problem.

WHAT DO U DO WHEN U GET A BSOD?

My recommendation would be to reset your defaults in your bios and see if that gets it going again. Listing your rig may also help...

What MB to buy??

Can't reload win xp after computer crashed!

Well I got it running but I had to set my FSB down to 100Mhz and set my FSB spread spectrum to .50% in my bios to make it happen, which sucks because it's a 400Mhz FSB on my mobo and PC3200 memory. Any suggestions on how I can tweak this monster to get the full capabilities of my FSB?? Is...

Possible problems with memory?

Oooh that driver cleaner did the trick! While the cab cleaner was running, the system locked up and I had to restart my computer. I took me about 3 hours and I forget how many BSOD's to get my system back to any kind of operational status. I couldn't even get the computer to boot in safe mode...

Possible problems with memory?

I bought them in June '04 when I upgraded my system with new cpu and mobo. I had similar problems at that time, but after upgrading the ps and installing a good fan on the cpu, the problems went away. I am pretty sure I cleared out all of the old ATI drivers before I installed the new card...

Ran memtest86 on my system, and it came up with about 15,500 errors while running tests 3 & 4. I have recently installed my PNY Geforce 6800 GT in my system, and haven't had much fun running down all the bugs I have now. I updated my vid drivers to the most current from the Nvidia website...

Are you referring to the 4-pin ATX12V auxiliary power connector? If you are, the motherboard does have a spot for that and it is connected...If you are referring to the AUX connector, then it isn't connected.

quick update: i read on a forum on another site that if I set the sliderbar in DXDIAG's DirectSound to basic, it should take care of the problems.....We'll see... I'm gonna try and then I'll post my results.
