I might not be the best yardstick for comparison. It's a sim rig and unfortunately a number of sims don't seem to support crossfire. Right now it's either running DCS A10 or iRacing, neither of which support crossfire. If they supported crossfire I'd have a second 7970 in there right away...

Have you looked at other options, such as buying a basic server from the Dell Outlet? I know it's cool to build your own but these days with servers being so cheap as soon as you add the available support from major manufacturers I find it changes the dynamic. I certainly build my own...

Games that were ahead of their time

That cracked me up, unfortunately so true. My vote goes to Planetside. Although it's not like the game wasn't a success, it certainly made Sony alot of dollar, just never made it mainstream big. Hoping we'll see more of the same great gameplay in Planetside 2.

Any Asus P8P67 owners with 1253 bios having HDD problems?

Hehe, too true. My SSD does not show up in boot priority list but the box boots up fine and everything checks out right in windows. Showed up OK in 1053 and will probably show up ok in next release. No exotic drive configurations on this box though, 1DVD, 1 SSD, 1 spindle HDD.
