FX-55 *San Diego* OEM now down to $130 at the Egg

When I built my machine a few years ago, I installed a 3000+ thinking that as prices dropped I would go to a faster processor. Yesterday, I purchased the FX-55 from Newegg for the same price I paid for my 3000+. My machine will last me sometime to come and this is a great value.

Week 21 of weight loss program. Back on the diet.

I wish you continued success on your efforts to drop the weight. A friend of my had the surgery but kept on eating the chocolates, extra cheese, etc. The result, no weight loss, just a $15k surgery bill.

Cool. Thank you guys. I presume that once my system is repaired and software reinstalled, that I can simply put this file back in the same location and it will work as normal and my prior sent and received emails will be in the same place in outlook. Thanks again.

I agree. The recent review showed that the 754 setup, and the great DFI board, perform better with one stick of ram..Would definitely get a one piece 512m. Later, you could always add another.

Raid 0,1 w/ 7400rpm competes with Raid 1 10K rpm

I don't believe previous reviews said raid 0 did not matter period. I believe the conclusion what that while it did provide some benefit in the server setting, it provided little useable benefit in desktop setups based upon applications normally run by those setups.
