CAT5 Tester, looking for suggestions

Here are a bunch of Network testers If you just want to test Patch Cables this one should work fine for only $30. I use Cables to Go for alot of my networking supplies for clients and so far they haven't let me down. Haven't used this particular tester, but looks like it would do the job.

If that CAT5 jack is wired back to your router then you don't need any wireless devices or anything. Just but a small 4 or 5 port switch, run a cat 5 from the wall to the switch and then cat 5 cables from the switch to the xbox and the TiVO. Can't just use a Y-adapter but this effictively...

Task Manager Issue, WinXP Pro

Here is an article I found of a user with the same issue. The solution in this case was to just double click on the window border and the missing tabs reappeared. I guess that window has some sort of auto-hide feature or something? wierd. Good luck hope that helps!

Why would you have to disable DHCP? The DHCP scope I believe on a linksys starts by default at 100. Meaning when a new machine is put on it is 100, next is 101 and so on. If this isn't the case you should be able to set the scope somewhere in the firmware. Then just set the static address...
