saw this price yesterday and it's a good no-rebate price! also should be able to use an Entertainment book $10 off coupon. i also have 2 netdisks and i am very happy with them, great to access our data and music from any pc in the house. they have a newer version the "giga" which will have a...
fyi same drive *new* at newegg $85 - $10 rebate = $75 AR, ships free. this drive with $8.54 ground shipping to me in PA is $76.54, so i took the newegg deal
i have the 80gb version and it has worked great for me as a network data drive on a windows xp/win2k network. i like the added security of the required netdisk software, which means uninvited folks cant get to my data. the latest drivers (3.10.1229) have been problem-free.
yeah was just suggesting this for anyone who doesnt want to tie up $60 for the rebate. this is a decent g router for 9.99 no matter where you pick it up
ps i use one of these, the NDAS software adds security as anyone without specific info about your drive cant see it, even if they are on your network. 2 minutes to set up, works great!

hi check your seagate hd warranty status here
http://support.seagate.com/cus...arranty_validation.jsp
drives shipped to retialers before 7/26 should show as 1-yr warranty, drives shipped after 7/26 should be 5-yr
have read that others have found the newer 5-yr warranty drives in stock at best buy, if getting the longer warranty is important to you. maybe buy one from each and return the outpost drive to best buy (if necessary) and you'll be all set, plus have the enjoyment of sticking it to best buy :)
yeah, i know this new seagate warranty is very confusing, and a little misleading. seagate has a warranty verification page here, just plug in your serial # and it spits back your warranty, no negotiation...bottom line is that drives shipped to retailers before 7/26 have the 1-yr warranty as...
in other words i dont think outpost has any of the 5-yr warranty drives in stock yet so buyer beware...the deal is hot though! just sucks to get 10 months warranty instead of 4 yrs 10 months
fyi have bought 2 of these 200's from outpost over the last couple of weeks. both were listed as "5-yr warranty" on website but showed up at my door as only 1-yr warranty, confirmed by seagate... the 2nd was a replacement for the first after i raised enough of a stink....so far outpost has not...
