Windows installation trouble

hey guys, I just wanted to let you know. I was installing yesterday with 1 stick of ram and vid card only, and I got the same error again: "the handle is invalid." So I figured it had messed up again. However, this time I just let it sit there, more because I was just to depressed to turn it...

noobish ram question

athlonxp 2500+ mobile yeah I was thinking about selling my current ram too, but I've never really done any parts selling before. I wasn't sure it would be easy, or where I should/could go to do it, if it'd be worth it.... as far as $$$, I think I can rationalize putting some money into...

ahh cool cool, I didn't check any companies other than ocz, corsair, kingston and mushkin. guess I'll have to go with a brand I'm unfamiliar with. At least the reviews are favorable :) and yeah, it's funny...when looking for what forum to put this in, I totally didn't see the very first...

PSU can be found http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-159-022&depa=0 FSB of 133 is what I started out using :( After I post I'm going to try installing with no soundcard and one stick of ram, I'll let you know how it turns out thanks again everyone!

ok, I went into bios, but the highest I could set my FSB to was 200. Maybe I'm missing something?? Also, I tried installaing again yesterday, and it got further than it has in the past, though it still ended in error. The new error read, "INF INSTALL FAILURE: REASON: The handle is invalid."...

Windows installation trouble

Problem: When installing windows xp, right before installation completes, computer will either reboot, or i'll get a blue screen which pops up and says something like "windows installation has shut down due to possible problems.... disable caching, and shadowing....." Followed by a STOP message...

hehe, lost me a bit... how would I go about installing IDE drivers for the new parts the HDD is interacting with? I've been trying to look at this from the point of view of a computer repair person that I'd go to to have new parts installed in a system. what would they do to replace parts...
