Hi guys,
I'm going to uni so can't carry a CRT around the world trying to get to a room on the 100000000000th floor of my tower block thingy.
So, I need a 17" TFT capable of playing FPS games like doom 3 and unreal tournament 2004 without any noticable flaws like ghosting. I REALLY can't...
i have a 6800 gt and i have had a random restart while playing unreal tournament 2004, i have a feeling it's not just a compatibility issue between a 900 and the asus board.
When I want to unplug a PC from the mains outlet in the wall, do I first have to take the power chord from the pc or can i just turn off the electricity switch on the wall?
I'm about to install a graphics card and I know I have to take the power chord out of the PSU, but before I turn off the...
Hi guys,
I need to copy my favourites from IE & my address book etc from Outlook Express 6. please could you help me out and direct me as to where the files are that i need to copy and paste on my new system.

Hi guys,
I've just copied all my mp3s from my old system (this one I'm typing to you from) to my new PC:
AMD 64 3500+
ASUS a8v deluxe motherboard
1GB Corsair low latency RAM
Western Digital Caviar 200 GB 8mb cache SATA using the sata promise xp driver so as to be recognised in windows...
It can only take 1.5 cards and not 3.0
What does that mean, and does anyone have this combination of card and motherboard or even know if it would fit fine?
Thanks in advance.
ok its in the case (only just).....
next question...
It needs to be connected to the power (obviously)....
Cnn i connect this particular fan to the "fan only" power connector left over from my power supply (i suppose my other fan is using the other "fan only" connector). This fan has 4...
Hi guys,
Nothing so far to do with my PC building mission has gone smoothly and this is no exception.
I've bought a Vantec Tornado fan to put at the front of my Chenbro Gaming Bomb case.
The case metal holes aren't quite big enough for the screws that came with the Vantec Fan. So...
hmmm i didn't expect to have to buy a 3rd party heatsink and fan, i just assumed amd would provide good enough components with their own processors!?
I'll keep monitoring it over the days when i get thing running with windows. I'll let you guys know if anything changes. Thanks by the way.
windows accepted it and let me partician the drive. so does that mean it worked ? if in the bios setup the setting isnt on IDE will performance be crapper than it should be with my drive.
is it ok to go into the bios and change to IDE mode after windows has already asked for the disk and i've put it in and used it), or is there a 2nd time the disk is required and that's what you are talking about?
should i just go ahead with the xp installation and do the following once in windows....?
1. Right-click the My Computer icon and select Manage from the popup menu.
2. Click Device Manager in the menu tree.
3. Click the ?+? in front of SCSI and RAID controllers...
I have the floppy disk we used here and it appears he used the 378sata version of makedisk.exe

I have 1 case fan and 2 inside the PSU (not even sure if they affect the rest of the case).
Help please.
