SiS755 = 800MHz HTT, AGP, no integrated graphics
SiS755FX = 1000MHz HTT, AGP, no integrated graphics
SiS756 = 1000MHz HTT, PCI-E, no integrated graphics
The SiS760 and 761 series support integrated graphics.
ASRock showed quite a few boards based on the new PT880P/894 but they won't be announced until the chipset is available in mass quantities.

One of the best nForce4 Ultra motherboards available, the only con is the price (around $30 more than the other ones). Definitely better than the MSI if you ask me.
I can't help you much but to say I disagree with the two ASUS pros. The MSI board is also stable at stock, and ASUS hasn't been "more reliable" for a long time now.
When it comes to stability make sure you pick the right PSU and memory (check for compatibility with the motherboard). If you...
In addition to what furballi said, you need to lower LDT multiplier from 5x to 4x. LDT multiplier * "External Clock" should always be equal or under 1000 (default is 5*200). I would also recommend that you first find the limit of your CPU, by taking the memory out of the equation. To do that...
BJ64,
welcome to the forum.
When overclocking, what steps are you taking? Have you ever overclocked an A64 before?
vladomir,
I think Hexus received an early sample of the board. I haven't heard a complaint of this board in the overclocking area yet.
There are 3 boards so far, the ASUS A8S, ECS 756-A and one from Foxconn.
So far only the ECS has been announced, so the others may be cancelled before they hit the retail market. ASRock is not making a board based on this chipset.
This board is available.

Macro2, read a review of the nForce4 Ultra from your favorite site, it will explain ActiveArmor in detail.
The A7N8X Deluxe is discontinued in favor of the A7N8X-E Deluxe, but if you do a search on the website you will find the correct download page.

EDIT: btw, you do need a northbridge heatsink... you will burn...
There are two different boards:
A7N8X-E Deluxe
A7N8X Deluxe
and the other, non-Deluxe models.
Yours is a rev1.06 ASUS A7N8X Deluxe. Only the Deluxe versions use the MCP-T southbridge (the A7N8X uses the MCP).
Yes, by "support dual-channel memory" I meant it supports the dual-channel memory kits. I've seen newbies ask if these were supported by their single-channel platforms before.
No magic, socket 754 = single channel.
It does support dual-channel memory, meaning you can buy a "dual channel kit" and it will work perfectly on a socket 754 board.
Haven't heard much about it, but it's basically the same as the very popular P4P800 with a different socket.
Have you considered a board with PCI Express instead of AGP? And also have a look at the 6xx series for the processor, it has some interesting features.
If you haven't already you should do a clean install. Also, try setting AGP to 4x, that fixes compatibility issues sometimes and doesn't hurt performance at all.
I was wondering, does anyone have a link comparing these two cards?
I'm looking for an upgrade and don't want to spend more than $150. That's already a little more than I wanted to spend so a 6600GT is out of the question.
Even if I didn't have a motherboard already (which I do, socket 939...
