Cleaning a CRT monitor.

I'm not sure what to use. I seem to recall reading that Windex and similar products are not recommended, but I've also had it recommended to me. I have a NEC/Mitsubishi 930SB monitor if it matters. Thanks for your help.

Home Network Troubles

Ah! Fixed it. Found out from the dfi-street forums that this problem is fixed by finding the MAC Address located north of the AGP Slot and putting that into the BIOS. :thumbsup:

Well, I ran WinSockFix, LSP-Fix, and reset the TCP/IP stack. Still no connection. I also re-installed the Ethernet port's drivers through the nVidia 5.03 System Driver Package found on DFI's site. No luck with that either. Right now I'm reading Microsoft's website to see if I find anything...

Looking for the best 19" CRT

I'll give it a shot when I get home. I actually moved it up to 100hz after trying 85, but I'll try it again and see if there's any difference.

Looking for the best 19" CRT

I have a NEC/Mitsubishi 930SB monitor, 19 inch. It's pretty awesome for everything I've done with it so far. But I can attest to slightly fuzzy text at higher resolutions (Currently 1280x1024, 100hz), and it's an aperture grille. No problems at all with gaming though, and the "SB" (Superbright)...

Building a PC; Problem

Well, that was easy enough. It works on Pins 8 and 10. Suppose that's somewhat my fault, manual says pins 2-4-6 are intended for a Power LED, which the wavemaster doesn't have.

Which card?

With regards to a 9600xt, it appears (on newegg) you can get 9600xts with 256mb of memory for slightly more, which you may want to consider. Another thing to consider, are 9800 and 9800SE cards. Less powerful than the 9600xts (and less expensive) but I don't know if they're able to be modded...

Oh Crap...Bought an iPod Mini on a whim without doing HW

I'm with theblackbox here, my iPod (10gb, got it Christmas of 2002, whatever generation that may be) has lasted well over the 18 month mark without trouble. And it's had it's share of abuse as well, big dent in one corner from dropping the thing on a concrete floor once. Still works great...

Crt monitor options for 250?

NEC/MITSUBISHI 930SB for about 260$. Yea, the shipping is ~30$, but in total, it comes out to about 296$. Or that's what it cost for to ship to me in Pennsylvania. If you can spare about 45$ more, then I'd say you're in good shape. I recently ordered this exact same product from that site, and...

Refresh Rates?

I've been wondering this, is there such a thing as a refresh rate being too high? Or is higher always better? I know it probably depends on your eyes and your preference, but are there any kinds of problems that can be caused by a refresh rate being set too high?

NWN Platinum $30 at CC B&M

I always played it for the online play. NWTactics and Bastions of War were incredibly fun. Simple PVP dueling was enjoyable too, but I'm unsure of how that's gone since HoTU's release though.

In the 'fine print' on the both the rebates, I see "Limit one (1) rebate per product purchased", does that mean these rebates won't stack? Edit: Nevermind, I see. They both require the original UPC. So no dice I suppose :(

BFG 6800 GT $350

I believe that is the second edition of the BFG 6800GT, the first edition of the BFG 6800GT had a fan similar to that which you see on the page. It's still a legit card, just a newer one really.
