What motherboards have Non-Z overclocking enabled for Pentium 3258?

Looks like the Windows 10 Fall update has cleared up the microcode issue. I'm overclocking fine without any manipulation of the system files.

What motherboards have Non-Z overclocking enabled for Pentium 3258?

Is anyone having success with the Win10 workaround with non-Z boards? I just got a G3258 on an MSI B85-G41 PC Mate board and I was hoping to both OC it and run Windows 10. Does anyone know if this workaround works for clean installs of Win10 as opposed to Win7/8 upgrades?

Burning DVDs on CD-RW drive

I really want to burn a couple videos I have on my computer to a CD-R in a format readable by my PS2... is there any way that I can burn something in a DVD format or something? Is there any specific file format that DVD players read? Is there any program that will burn DVDs to CDs? Thanks.

Burning CDs readable on DVD players

Is there any way for me to burn videos onto a CD using my CD-RW driver in such a format or way that will enable me to play them on a dvd player? Thanks.

You musn't have read the whole post- that was my old card getting artifacts. The replacement is just ceasing to respond. No overheating problem at all.

Shutdown+BSoD when running AdAware

Verison DSL connection problems

Best way to log AIM conversations.

I'm not looking for a huge difference in interface from AIM. If possible I'd just like an add-on sort of thing. But what do you think is the best way to log AIM conversations? I can't seem to find any good programs.

AS5 on Video Card

I would assume the same as with a CPU. Use a small drop... just enough to cover it completely when spread out. Correct me if I'm wrong

Overclock advice....

Do you know what speed your RAM is? (pc-3200, pc-2700, etc.)? I have a Athlon XP Barton 2800+ at a dual pumped FSB of 400MHz and it runs fine. It should depend on whether your RAM is clocked at 400MHz or not.

Barton 2500+ problems

Perhaps, if you haven't done it already, you could try lowering the RAM to 166MHz. Bartons like 1:1. Um and about the clock speed, I know some motherboards with lower the clock speed of a processor automatically when it fails to boot correctly. Hope that helped at least somewhat.

How often do you build a new rig?

As I look around those active on AT... I notice a general trend of having the most up-to-date technology. I see people upgrading from A64 to A64 dual core and things similar. I'm still running an Athlon XP and a 5700 Ultra... though I'm planning on a $1500-2500 new one around this time next...

Prime95 Hardware Failure

Is there any difference between a rounding error and a hardware failure? I also doubt it's the RAM timings because it's only at 200MHz... and the RAM is pc-3200. I would only need to relax the timings if it was overclocked, right?

Prime95 Hardware Failure

I ran Prime95 on my system (see sig) overclocked to: 200x11.5 (vCore=1.675v), with memory at 200MHz also, and at timings of 6-3-2-2T. It resulted with: "FATAL ERROR: Final result was DC10DD91, expected: B0680C2B. Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file. Torture test ran 4 hours...

Acceptable voltages on my rails

I believe it's actually Alienware in brand.. who knows who they sub-contracted that to, but I can't expect it to be horrible. Those values are under load (Prime95). And yes, I was using MBM for seeing the voltages. Thanks for the reply.

600$(changed, sorry) budget - Need CPU/Mobo/GFX Card only

I, myself, would get the SLi ready Mobo just to be able to add another identical video card down the road to increse performance a lot. Also- to future proof... I think you would want a motherboard with dual x16 pci-e in SLi mode... like...

Acceptable voltages on my rails

How much of an overvolt/undervolt is acceptable on the different rails. My PSU is overvolting the +3.3 to +3.40... and I think a couple of the others are undervolting just a bit. What's acceptable? Thanks.

Overclocking/data-corruption

It looks as though I can change the AGP frequency, but I have no control over PCI or SATA frequencies. Are there any precautions I should have in overclocking (for the sake of having locked frequencies for PCI and SATA)? Like don't go over an FSB of 200Mhz, etc.? What should I do with the AGP...
