I have the same board and its great after you tweak it to the utmost. did you load the 4 in 1 drivers. If not do so you can get them from the Asus website or Via hardware. You may also want to let the Bios control things...in the bios in the boot sector, where it says plug and play/...
There is nothing wrong with your motherboard at all..that light comes on to tell you that the motherboard is getting power and doing its jobs. Its warning you to not do anything stupid, like removing or unplugging any items off of the board period. I find this a nice little touch on Asus...
