Chaintech VNF4 Bios and Overclocking

Good catch. My mistake. I am running a beta V6.0 that Chaintech provided on my VNF4. I am surprised that they have not released it on the bios download site. I have had absolutely no probems with it and the overclocking function works correctly again.

I think 1.5gb will work just as well as 2gb in BF2. Interesting note, while in a BF2 game I alt+tab out to check the task manager and it showed a peak value of 4529635 (4GB?). I am not sure what to make of this...

Thanks for the quick and specific input. I have read that the impact of 2T vs 1T is only 2% on performance. If that is the case then the memory buffer gain I get should out weigh the performance hit. Would you agree?

Why would you want to regulate the 12V rail down to 1.xV for a CPU. Think of the heat the regulator would generate. Whatever, Please provide me with a link that supports your statement that Athlon64/Pentium4 use the 12V rail. Thanks!
