Will I be ok with 3200 & A8N Sli?

Yeah you'll be ok, but why get such an expensive board if you want inexpensive parts? If you must upgrade to a socket 939 and PCI Express, get a single slot board.

HDTV Wonder

Winchester OC limits?

Yes, I've read that too. What I'm trying to find out is if anyone knows a way to get this fixed. For the longest time Prime95 was the most popular way to test if a machine was 100% stable. Now all the sudden people are saying it's no good. There has to be a reason this is happening.

Winchester OC limits?

I've seen many people who can get a Winchester past 2.3GHz, but getting it Prime95 stable just won't work. In most cases, it's almost always after about 2 hours. You can run games, and do just about ANYTHING but Prime95. I've heard Asus has posted 2 BIOS updates to help with this but no...

Why are AMD MB's more expensive than Intel?

Ok Prime95 question.

That means you have a stability issue with your computer. It's usually memory but could also be attributed to CPU (if overclocked too), software such as the drivers, or even too weak of a power supply. I guess it could also be the board, but that's prolly the least likely reason for instability.

Help Me Spend My Money

I'd get the Crucial Ballistix or OCZ EL plat rev2 for the memory. I'd also swap that board for either the Asus A8V or Abit's AV8. The card you picked out is excellent for the money. If it'll be a few months, you might want to consider switching to the PCI Express versions of board and video...

Memory Speed and FSB issue.

ATTN: AV8 and A8V owners

I have an Abit AV8 coupled with a Winchester CPU. One thing I've noticed about this new board is that my memory runs VERY HOT. At stock speeds its very warm, almost too hot to keep my fingers on it. Overclocked, it is too hot to touch. My voltages are quite low, between 2.65 and 2.7...
