Please advise on logical partitions on 1Tb drive

Hi. Just got a new rig with 1Tb Samsung HD. Initially set it up with 2 partitions: 100gb for OS and base progs and 830gb for the rest (games,movies,pics etc). Question is if i should keep this 830gb partition or divide it into more? Please advise

So, Green Caviar EACS 1Tb is not on par with Black Caviar/Spinpoint? I mean, if no Black Caviar is available then it's better to go for Spinpoint and not for Green Caviar?

Antec 300 or Antec 900?

Jdkick: No, no special reason. Case has to fit gtx 260 (10'5 inch length), provide adequate cooling fir i7 rig and not be too noisy since it will sit on my desk near monitor. How about Coolermaster 690? (Coolermaster 534 is highly praised but seems it wont fit videa card)

Heh, still have 2 undecided parts in my rig: GPU and Case so i kept digging. Seems only significant difference between gtx 260 and 4870 is physical dimension. It's 10'5 inch vs 9'5 length . Strange nobody mentioned it. Implies gtx 260 is not an option for Centurion 534 (case hotly recommended...

Toyota: well what use of 6Gb Ram in 32bit OS? Not that many applications make use of 64 bit anyways and Vista has many issues. Right now i see no real reason to buy it. Maybe i will get 64-bit Windows 7 if it proves to be good.

Horror story. Is my brand new A8N $2400 rig toast?

Well regarding OCZ Ram i can tell you that i'm currently running 1gb ocz platinum 3700 EB with 2.7 v. Comp was assembled in a shop and i dont want to mess with bios/oc meanwhile because they mistakenly got me 3500 Newcastle instead of Winchester. So i am waiting till i get CPU replaced...

Which SLI? Asus, Gigabyte, MSI

Before getting Gigabyte mobo i would at least wait for feedback/threads on this forum. Their last line of socket 939 mobos were simply terrible. Plus memory voltage is limited to 2.8v and board is more expensive than Asus one.

If your monitor wont go above 1024x768 then SLI mobo shouldnt concern you ;) It is definitely not budget system. SLI mobo will cost around $200 and nf4 ULTRA around $150 when prices settle down. I would suggest nf4 Ultra + amd 64 3000 + geforce 6600 GT, but of course it cant beat pricewise...
