Sad, so it really ended........
I switched off all my cracking machines but this... but now it is cold without the client working behind...
Where will we go now?
Anyone want to start a poll to see hoe people is distributes among the different distributed project presently running?
I feel...
That's it. One whole year cracking RC5 for Anandtech's team whithout hardly a pause .
Of course, it's not that much compared with the veterans but for me it is indeed a milestone (no many things last so much in my case).
So, I've made my biggest dump of cracked blocks just to celebrate the...
I know your case, it a nice one i used to build an Athlon system to may brother.
If you put both an intake fan in the front and a exhausting one in the back you will improve your temperatures indeed.
Almighty1,
BTW, what about those cheetah, i was evaluating them because i think they have a very good cost-quality ratio but so far my storage needs are not so high. Noise ang heat??. Atlas V are fairly silent and cool.
Jus to complete the picture of my system, the remaining units are...
Almighty1,
What a storage capability!!! What are you running?
My fans are:
1x80mm Sunon + 1x80mm YsTECH in the front
1x60mm Sunon in the back
Orbs are with their stocks fans.
92mm fans are too loud for me. Even now there is too much noise for my taste. I like listening music without having...
Almighty1, I've got also a 760A and i can speak on the cooling of this case.
First a brief description of my system:
Tyan 100 dual MB
2xPIII700@933 MHz at 175-1,8 volts
ABIT III sloketts with Golden Orbs
Tekram 390u2w
2xAtlas V 9,1 Gb mounted in the lower case half above the frontal fans...
I'm using Supermicro 760-A, it is not a bad one but i think there are better ones now available.
What i dont like is that even if it is possible to put up to three 80mm fans in the front, once you put the front panel they are nearly blocked because of the distance from the fans to the outside...
I've personally bought from

I live in Spain and here it is not possible to find any decent HSF stuff.

Your PS is OK for a dual system. Concerning the MB, right now, there are a bunch of new boards out there based in VIA chipset. From the reviews and posts I've seen it seems that MSI MS694D(6321)is the one giving better results. If you prefer BX because of memory performances or wahtever...
I got a k7-700 at 123 perfectly stable but the memory should stay at FSB...Finally i left it at 114 with the memory at FSB+clock=143 MHz at turbo and CAS2 settings but it crashed sometimes under 3D loads. So I'm checking with CAS3. The overal peformance is still better than at 123.
By the way...
I used PC133 2-2-2 from Crucial Microm (the -7E stuff). It works fine at FSB+CLK with FSB=114MHz in Turbo mode, delay to AUTO and CAS2 but system crashes sometimes under some 3D programs. It could be meory or whatever althougn I think is it.
