Hi guys, so I installed the new PSU - problem is that there were not enough IDE connectors. So, CD-ROM is not powered as well as one of the addition HDs. Anyhow, no BSODS yet. Could this have been the cause? And how come the lack of power was a problem after switching to Windows 7? Certainly...

!!! I didn't know that the ~ sign was important. On the device, it says 16V AC IN with a ~ sign above it. Model, I'm still confused though. Can you please explain how ~ is 9.6watts? And, where does it say that the product you linked to is 700ma? And how will I know if the plug will fit...

lol sdi, That's the exact same product I linked too =d. Will 100W be enough you think? This device needs 23 watts (230 V x .1 A) according to a site I read about how to calculate watts. This is correct right? Thanks.

sdifox, can you explain why it's not a good idea? And I don't quite understand what you meant about the transformer; you mean one that outputs 16V at 600ma? But then I don't have an adapter to connect the transformer to the device itself. Thanks in advance.

Thanks PM650. So, does the 220/240 in the OUTPUT of the converter mean from 220 TO 240? or just 220 and 240? Also, what I got was a converter. Will this suffice or should I look into a transformer since this is an electronic? Thank you!

Help - Virus attack?

Okay - so I installed Trojan Horse Remover and it removed something. That enabled me to start MalwareBytes and clean up majorly. Now, I am running Spybot. Whew - I guess I am fine. But how did I activate this malware? Was it because I clicked on the X (close sign) of the window?

Bad news Mech. I can't find any of my opticals loaded. I went in services and tried to start IMAPI CD-BURNING but it wouldn't start. I tried to open NERO and it said something about administrator rights and NERO burn rights - never ever seen that message before. I shall attempt a restart...

Spare laptop with a broken LCD....

This is the laptop. The LCD is busted so I use it by connecting it to a 15" DELL LCD. I have a desktop that I use for everything else. This laptop is just collecting dust right now. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated - thanks =)

MONTAG!!! IT WORKED!! first i disabled BIT (with restart) and i still got the X's. then i disabled print spooler and then disabled BIT (with restart) and i didn't get the X's. then i added a printer and installed the driver and it printed a test page just fine. oh btw, i managed to get...
