no im not confused. sometimes long video cards can hit the caps on the edge of the board and wont sit down into the pci slot all the way. ive had it happen.

List your path of video card upgrades

s3 #968 paired with a 3dfx voodoo, most of the low end nvidias. riva, riva 128zx, tnt, tnt2, tnt ultra, gf1, gf2, gf3, gffx, 8800gts, gtx 560ti. something like that.. too many to list. i had one ati all inwonder 8500 which i thought was junk. had few matrox milleniums too.

c&c dos. we used to play on kali. ranked on case's ladder. had the original c&c map pack. had a map called jfc. me and my bud used to play for hours and hours. original half life with counterstrike mod. playing dedust all day and night. I was hooked!

railroad tycoon I think railroad tycoon 2 + second century are great. railroad tycoon 3 stunk along with all the other wannabe games like locomotion, sid meiers railroads, railroad pioneer and so on. even the facebook game railroad empire is better than these wannabe games. waitng...

ok thanks toyota. thats great information that will provide me what I need to make a good buying decision. I just wanted the video card to help my puter maybe last me another year or two and provide satisfactory gaming. after 2 years Ill be building a whole new machine. thanks again guys.

resolution. I have an lg l227wtg which does 1680 x 1250 max. a new monitor could be in my future too. a little headroom for higher res would be nice too. so right now having the dual core is a bottleneck even when its close to 3900 mhz? I see you both mentioned gtx 560. I will look...

current system abit ip35pro e8400 @ 3800+ 4gb gskill 8800 gts 750 corsair psu win7 pro 64 looking for the best solution for an upgrade. my board is not PCI-E X16 2.0 its just PCI-E X16 I really want nvidia gtx 580 but Im curious if having an older mb with out pcie 2.0 will slow...

i run 220 x 10 on my albatron and barton xp2500.. 1.775.. it will run all the way up to 235fsb and 2350mhz at 1.825

i bought one too because of reading a few good reviews and the comments here on the board. pretty soild with nice features. i was considering the dfi lanparty or gigabyte, but the gigabyte is 160 and the lanparty 155.. i picked this up for 107 also. the main reason i choose this over the giga is...

good board for duron overclocking?

I would take a look at the epox boards..My last setup was a 600 duron on an hkha..I was able to get the cpu to run at 1064 152fsb..

Has anyone had the opportunity to OC 750 Duron or TBird on 266MHz bus?

I got the msi turbo and a 750 tbird.. I can get 150fsb @ 900mhz 1.75v or 144fsb @ 936mhz 1.85v

jbat 1-2 is clear cmos...its doesnt do anythig with this setting..the books wrong on the turbo.. 1-2 is clear, 2-3 is hold data.

I reset the cpu a couple times.. I also have used both an agp gts and pci stb to test video. I have also tried 4 sticks of memory. I still can't get anything to come up and the 4 leds have stayed red everytime...Guess I will rma on monday...

yep, I know of these 2 issues...j17 is on for 100mhz bus and jbat1 is on 2-3..opposite of what the book says is correct...so I think I'm good as far as that goes.

Problems starting MSI K7T Turbo!!!

I dont have the reset issue like you do, but when I power on my board my fans come on and 4 red leds light up and no video..what do your leds do?

Installed the board.. Powered it up..My fans come on, but I dont get any video.The 4 LEDs on the board all light up red..The manual says 4 red leds indiactes a defective cpu.. the cpu is new, never been as tested as far as I know, and is not unlocked. looking for opinions on if you think the cpu...
