Do you know SQL? If not that would be a good start. Download MYSQL and setup and a database. Query it to learn. There a ton of MySQL tutorials on the web. Once you have that foundation, you can use any reporting tool like Crystal.
This card does NOT have hardware MPEG encoding. If you are using MCE, this will use up a lot of CPU time. You need to make sure it works well with your system. ATI 550 cards are much better for MCE encoding then this one.

Did you get your machine already? Becasue, I was told it would not require any other purchase. I just got an email saying my order is in process. I don't know if that means it shipped or my order is in process.
Does this backup only one computer or can it backup many? Or do I have to buy a copy for every PC I have. Currently, I have two PC and two laptops that I would like to backup to a network drive.

Usually with something like this, they only sell what they have in stock. When they find out about it, they put them in the back room so they can buy them at the end of the day. I belive the manager make them wait to see if anybody else buys them (they save on the employee discount this way).

Not sure if this is a hot deal but it is the best price I have seen for this card.
This does require XP Media Center Edition but other have been using it with SAGE TV.
Keep in mind this has two tuners but only one input is RCA inputs. The second has to be coax cable.

Did you try the MCE drivers from ATI website. Even though they say they will not work, I have found gotton the hardware to work with 8500 video cards from ATI.
As far as I can see from the specs, it should work.

Electronics Expo in NJ is substituting the JWIN DVD player for the COBY DVD Player. No rebates. There were 5 left in the Raritan, NJ store. Plays DVD, DVD-R, CD, CD-R, VCD, SVCD. Even if this only last a few months, this is not bad for $16 out the door.
