if the dvd player is that old, it probably doesn't have a component output. You are probably using the composite out, which is far less quality than SVideo, no matter what cable you use.
Part of the blame is on Zimmer, he did go after Pedro. However Pedro started this entire mess with his BS in the previous inning. Pedro should be ejected, along with Manny. Zimmer should be removed from the dugout.
As far as I know, the Data security portion of HIPPA does not go into effect until 2005 or 2006.
I would think a SSH or VPN tunnel within a WEP secured WLAN would be fine.
wow... this sounds exactly what was wrong with my A/C friday. Fan wouldn't spin up, and the compressor wouldn't kick on. Turned out the capacitor was blown. Took the A/C repair guy about 10 minutes to replace... and 230 bucks. Ouch!
Don't bother. I just spent 30 minutes arguing with them about it. They won't match Best Buy's price because they claim they already have with the rebate. After explaining that the best buy price isn't a rebate, they then went into that I would then be getting the drive for free. I told them...
I just called my local BB (Kansas City, Quivera Rd) and their price out the door is 179 or something like that. Nowwhere near the 79 qouted here... sounds like it may be a regional thing.
Same here... I was worried at first about the 12" screen. Turns out it works fine. Obviously more desktop space would be better, but for what I wanted (a small, portable laptop) the iBook is great.
It appears the script is reporting it incorrectly. With some help from someone on the OpenBSD mailing list, they told me to run ps while the script is running. ps reports that the user perl is running as is 'www'.
n0cmonkey << they were installed with sudo. The user changes depending on who starts apache. If you start apache with root, the user it lists running the CGI scripts is root. If i start apache with sudo through my account, the user it lists is "travis"
I may be overlooking something simple here, but I can't seem to figure out why Apache is behaving the way it is...
I am installing Twiki (twiki.org). One of the steps is to run a CGI script that tests the environment. It gives the following info regarding the user that is running the script...
The 14" iBook looks messed up. I thought the same thing, I just couldn't imagine a 12" screen working for me. It is actually just fine for a laptop. If you want something small the 12" iBook or 12" Powerbook are perfect.
I bought an iBook and the only way I could be more happy with it is if it was the 12" powerbook.
There is so much you can do with OS X if you dig into it.
I'm refering to high end compared to a linksys dsl router.... like a sonicwall, netopia or something along those lines. I just can't find anything with the features I want.
Actually, I should explain. I need to be able to connect to the modem and then have TCPIP addess to the network behind it... almost as if the serial port is another WAN port. Does that make sense? I think dlink has a router with this feature, but it only supports Class C addressing AFIAK.
Can anyone give me some recommendations on high end NAT routers.
Here are some of the features I need and or want
NAT
Support for at least Class B addressing scheme (Subnet Mask of 255.255.0.0)
VPN
Built in Modem or a Serial port that is useable by a modem.
Thanks
The iBook (the one on the left is @4.5 pounds. Hardly heavy. The other one looks like a beast.
BTW notfred, I've been meaning to ask you. I just bought an iBook myself... any tips or tricks you've found with OS X? I'm liking it, but it seems pretty sluggish compared to my XP box (Athlon 1G...
what kind of cards do they have?
I have the same AP. I have one laptop, a Sony with a sohoware card that anywhere outside of the room only gets 50% or less coverage. My roomate has an iBook, and he gets 100% coverage anywhere in the house.
I could use some help here.
I am having some problems with getting VPN to work on my Sonicwall SOHO router. My network is setup as follows
Cable Modem

4port Hub

Wireless Wired
Sonicwall...
I could use a bit of help here...
Lets say you have a large building, with a network infrastructure already setup throughout the building. Now, lets say one department within your building is going to be buying a product that consists of a server and multiple clients, and as such needs...
