Thanks aigomorla, the case already has a 140 below the radiator, also pulling from the front. I'll follow your advice and add a second fan to the rad though, for a total of 3 fans up front pulling in, and a single 140 exhaust fan next to the MB IO. I still have the option of adding two more...

unfortunately the rad will not clear the mobo up top, not much clearance up there so front mount is the only option. At this point its down to which fans where and which way to point them. This PC is for the GF so she wont mind but really bummed that i did not see this airflow problem in time...

No, this is screw and standoff in one piece. I finally just filed down the PCB some to make it fit the groove in the screw / standoff.

You are missing my point. yes in the 2nd pic it does look like it would work perfectly, but the problem is that the slot in the standoff retaining screw will not allow the screw to slide far enough into the slot, resulting in a thread misalignment. I feel like "maybe" i could force it that...

I've already swapped the connections, everything is nice and tight. The only thing I am touching between a failed and successful reboot is the power button so a loose cable seems unlikely.
