This week's (3/10) Outpost hard drive, memory and software deals...2x512 Geil $99.99 NO REBATE!

Hauppauge WinTV-PVR 150 $80 AR

According to Hauppauge's product comparison page the only thing that the 250 has over the 150 is the hardware Video CD encoder. If I had known that, I would have waited for the 150 to come out, rather than buying the 350. OTOH, the 350 has better support, so maybe not. It's a toss-up, really.

What I am noticing is that the same mouse, in a different color/finish, is more expensive. What I think happened is people want the other colors more than, say, the night vision or the Immersion one. That's the problem with "fashion" tech. People might like the tech, but not the fashion...

Kingston 512MB PC3200 HyperX - $90 @ outpost.com

The stick I got was in the plastic holder, with the kingston seal on it. No scratches on the ram itself. And since it was the KHX3200\512 (bh-5,) I guess I got lucky. I upgraded to the latest memtest86, and I'm now running 2-2-3 on it stable. After a little more I think my timing issues...

Okay, my motherboard tops out at 2.8v, so I could only get 2-3-3 and pass Memtest. So before buying this memory, I'd make sure your motherboard supports higher voltages. I can see why they didn't make too many bh6 sticks. It's great for overclockers, but a non-techie would probably RMA...
