What do you want on Black Friday 2012?

I really was hoping that with the new ipad, the ipad 4, and the ipad mini all out that this Black Friday the ipad 2's might be put on huge sales to clear them out. From what I've seen so far, that's not happening :( Really want an ipad but i want it for one purpose and one purpose only...

computer won't boot... help

I have windows xp... i don't think it's a corrupted OS because even if I try to boot off of the OS installation CD it does the same thing... it doesn't get far enough to even check the OS. I also tried booting with the hard drive unplugged and no CD in the drive, and it froze the same way...

Rock Band 3 Official Thread

Awesome... I can't wait to hear more impressions of how it works. Let us know if the guitar is remotely "decent" as a real guitar. I'm concerned that it will be a piece of junk as a real guitar... Not that I expect it'd be anything "awesome" but i'm hoping it's at least reasonable :)

I'm assuming there is a rockband 3 song book out with full tab for all the songs so you can work on the songs without being in the game... Finally a strategy guide that would be worth buying :)

it's not dual core... don't know what phone you're talking about :-) Why would you hope it flops? What do you have to gain from that? I don't think it's going to flop , I think it's going to sell big.. as long as they can get any problems resolved and get it released reasonably soon.

You are right , to a point... people would be more pissed about a phone being released with problems. But they should be bashed because these kind of issues should have been resolved before you start putting out commercials and allowing places like Best Buy to take money for pre-orders or even...

This really sucks though... I was going to get the Thunderbolt primarily because it was coming out now. By the time it is available though, the Bionic and the ip5 will be out so i'll have to choose between those.

Rumour: Iphone 5 with a 4" screen.....

Is this only a rumor , or is it fact? I thought that the 4 inch screen and slideout keyboard were both confirmed, but maybe I was mistaken. Those are both features that make me consider the iphone when I was pretty set on a droid before.

This is pretty much how I am. I currently don't have a smartphone at all... so it came down to the Thunderbolt now, or the bionic/iphone5 later. Coming from not having a smartphone at all I am sure I will be more than happy with the Thunderbolt for the next 2 years , even without dual...

Unable to get console based immersion.

I have a 42" plasma ... and still sit probably about 10' away when i'm gaming because that's where my couch is. For some games that's not a problem, but I understand where you are coming from. I have found that for some games I simply have to grab a chair from the kitchen or something and...

Netflix coming to Android... finally... but...

I'd use netflix on my phone. In fact it actually disappoints me I won't be able to use it on my Thunderbolt that I'm planning on buying. It would be great when going on a trip somewhere to just throw my phone in the back seat and say here you go kids.. watch a movie.

Dual core on smartphones... why?

I don't think anybody wants to stop improving technology... If I am reading the OP correctly what I think he's getting at is that maybe they should put their focus on improving the parts of the technology that can most improve the product right now such as improving the software or the GPU...

It is the 24th. It was supposed to be the 14th, it was pushed back to the 24th... presumably to put it outside of the 14 day return period for the verizon iphone. At least those are the only dates i've heard of.

so I understand the release for this is now officially in a couple of weeks, is that right? I'm debating between waiting yet another 4 months for the i5 or bionic and pulling the trigger on this one. It's my first smart phone so I think i'd probably be happy with this one... and wouldn't...

Wildly popular 'Guitar Hero' game gets the ax

If you don't think Harmonix would ever put out crap, then you never played Guitar Hero rocks the 80's. That version was pure crap. They didn't even change details like the Siren from war pigs from guitar hero II.. they just stuck a new song in it's place so the song on the 80's version...

Ahh yes.. i am aware of the locked down environment of the iphone vs the openess of the Androids... I just am not sure how important this is to me. Conceptually, I like the openness of the Android but I don't know that I'd ever dig in deep enough for it to matter all that much.

3D is universally reviled online, but IRL people seem to dig it...

no you don't need a 3d tv.... it just gives you a red/blue encoded image it's not 3d tv 3d... (don't know how to phrase that). You didn't need a 3d tv to use it, you just needed the red and blue lense 3d glasses.

madden 11 - doritos 3d mode

Did anybody ever try this? I don't remember seeing a thread about it, though I haven't searched on it. The reason for the thread is this: I got madden for Christmas, and I saw the thing in the game about the Doritos 3D mode. Sounded like a Gimmick sure, but something fun to try. So...

You have to buy ms points just to play madden 2011 online?

Still have a long way to go for that :) I used to upgrade my PC at *least* once every 2 years to keep up. Haven't upgraded my PC in like 6 years now.. since I got out of gaming on the PC. I did have to pay $100 to fix my xbox, but still haven't come near to what I paid for PC gaming...

The people this really screws over are people who have multiple gold accounts in their home. One of my coworkers just got an xbox and he ended up doing the family gold pack so that he and his kids could have their own achievments, etc... so now he got an EA game and signed up to play online...

Xbox360 E74 with bottom right red light

I didn't even try the overheat fix... it didn't seem worth potentially damaging the system for a temporary fix. My xbox is on the way to Texas as we speak. I have no idea about the xclamp fix... it seemed worth the $100 to me to have microsoft fix mine, as long as I get it back in good...

When i registered my box it says the warrenty expired in october 2008. That is probably when i bought it... i know I bought it in October, but i can't remember if it was 2007 or 2008. Either way the 3 years definitely did not expire in 2008... but i have no proof of purchase at this point to...

Hi everybody, My xbox360 worked fine last night and this morning I'm getting the blinking red light in the bottom right corner. I've done some googling, but most of what I see to fix it is for older versions of the xbox (x clamp) or it is to fix different light codes like the 3 light code...

Shareholders Want Call Of Duty Online Fees

I'm kind of surpried that game companies haven't gone about doing this in a more indirect way... We pay for Xbox Live Gold in order to play multiplayer. I'm surprised that the gaming industry as a whole doesn't then charge Microsoft for a certain fee per player/hour on their games...

I have an HDTV, but up until last week I have played my xbox360 on a 32" SDTV. Why? Becasue the HDTV is in my main family room where my wife and kids are always watching TV... and the 32" SDTV is downstairs in the basement where I can play my games in peace. I'm sure I'm not the only one...

I wish we could enter an era of gaming that could combine the creativity and programming talent from "back in the day" with the technical capabilities that we have today.... I always think about one of my favorite games of all time from my C64, "Elite"... and what that game would be like...

wife wants a netbook...

My wife would like to have a netbook for Christmas. I don't think she'd be doing a whole lot more than email/web/facebook.... maybe downloading pics from her camera or whatever. I don't know what else she'd use it for. Unfortunately, I've never really paid much attention to netbooks...

Should put 4 or 5 people really close together right in front of the kinect thing and see if you start getting targeted adds for weight watchers or plus sized clothing stores :D
