    Some motherboards require the BIOS to be set with SCSI as a boot device for SATA to boot.Try that. Is the RAID ROM turned off, so that the array is complete with just one drive? How exactly does it register in the SATA ROM?

    You don't understand what I meant by make sure that all your voltages and temps are correct. Just because they're set to default doesn't mean that they actually ARE. Your vcore could be set to 1.6, but be 1.4 for all you know. And your 12v line could be running at 11.2. Check it, and don't just...

    You can *ususally* use PC2700 for a 200(x)FSB system, but it is not recommended because in certain situations it can cause some major problems, the worst being data corruption, followed by different types of instability.

    Don't underestimate it. It's better than GF FX 5200, esp when I normally can O/C it to the specs of a GF4 TI4200. Oh, 3DMark2001SE = 8876 Marks @ 225/450- my usual speeds. Faster than a normal GF3, but slower than a TI500.

    That isn't a very good PSU for that system. Boycott. 350W of one brand can be 500W of another. Stick with FSP, Antec, Enermax, OCZ, and, the listt goes on a little more. I'm sure others in this forum would like to post their recommendations.

    The Windows firewall sucks, turn it off. I doubt it is having a problem with the amount of connections, but probably with the traffic on port 80 for some reason. (The port you would use while online) I would probably go with a little better PSU, but that is just me. An Antec 350 should be fine...

    Um, even though it looks to be hardware- go to the process tab in task manager and sort by CPU usage... Aside from the System Idle Process, what is the highest process? That could give us an idea (because of what hardware that process may tax)
