Well, I have dual 74 GB Raptors and I couldn't be happier. The system runs smothly and I've never had any trouble whatsoever. Everything is lightening fast. That being said, it would probably be really fast with normal drives as well. :-)

My NV5 didn't come with the adapter bracket. I e-mailled A.C. at least 5 times and the rep, Stanley, said that one was on it's way. It's been almost two months and still no bracket.

OK, I broke down and paid the $20 for 3dmark05 so I didn't have to run the other tests. The best that I have been able to do so far with the LE-Ultra bios is 5359 at 435/1200. I suppose that is pretty good. My new rig is:

Mine has been idling from 50-57 and up to 74 under load with the cheap goo that came with the NV5- (no venting) I'm installing a new CPU tomorrow so I might pick up some AS5 as well.

Did you reformat your hard drive? When you switch the system around like that windows is going to be messed up. I had the same problem as you are having. My benchmarks went down when I upgraded my system and I got tons of errors. Reformatting fixed all of that. Good luck.
Honestly, I don't think I've heard of but one or two people reporting "failed cards". There have been a few people reporting cards that would not OC at all though. There were probably more than 500-600 of the LE's made and most poeple are out playing games having a great time with their $325...

I think that I remember someone having a problem with a capacitor breaking off or shorting out. If you are constantly moving things around in your case, it's highly likly that you could damage any number of things ...not just the vid card.
