ok well this is a gift for my dad, so i decided to shell out some extra $$$ and go for the canon A95 for 280. its 5 megapixel, and has a rotating lcd. is this a good choice? i know this is a dumb question but, the more megapixels = better camera, right?

before when i had my GT@ultra speeds i took the VST @ 1280x960 4xaa 8xaf. the GT@ultra = 103fps. then i traded my GT for a XT straight up, one card for the other. XT@stock speeds, 1280x960 4xAA 8xAF = 132fps. xt@p.e speeds = 158fps. 3dmark05 gt@ultra = 4999 xt stock = 5686...

naw that was my GT overclocked to ultra speeds. thats what i meant. the 5699 score is from my stock x800xt. i traded my gt for a x800xt.

nice system. i got a 3500 winchester asus a8v x800xt and in 3dmark05 stock i get 5699. stress test at 1280x1024 4xAA 8xAF i get 154fps. when i had my gt @ ultra i got; 3d05 5122 stress test (same settings) 103fps.

Gigabyte x800 xt

dude its just as good as all the other x800xt's. got mine running @ 535/560. didnt try any higher than that though.

hard drive problems...any suggestions?

just put together my new sys its a amd64 3500+ and asus A8V deluxe. i got one barracuda drive and a wester digital. when i try to use both hd's bios doesnt recognize them, but when i take out the barracuda, and put in another western digital they work fine. am i suppose to set something...

seagate barracuda 160gb.

ok i got a free 160gb seagate barracuda, and a free 80gb western digital, and i already own a 120gb w.d. should i use the barracuda with a w.d hd, or should i just use both W.D harddrives? i really want the best performance.

out of curiosity subhuman, what are you using to cool your 3500+? also does it matter if the stock your selling is a 90nm or 130nm?

not gonna overclock right away, but i will in a few months probably.hopefully the pc3500 will help with a good o'c. i guess i will go with the xp90. 120 looks too big.

im about to order my cpu right now, and i was originally planning to get the 90nm version. hmmm now im not sure if i should go with the 130 (its cheapper) over the 90nm. the performance on the 90nm is a LITTLE bit better, but do u guys think the price difference is worth it? also, anyone...

so those mx510's for 25 bux is a pretty good deal right? also, lets says you got a generic brand mouse, but the DPI is 800, that would be the same as a $25 800dpi mx510, right?

I'm gona get a pimpin 6800GT.

is CS:S capped at 100fps? cause i've seen up to 188fps...i mean not like it matters, im happy with just a CONSTANT 60fps. anyways FEAR, not expect too much, because the GT i toyed with had really bad fps drops in 12vs12 servers..im talkin like down to 35fps in action.

i see that whenever i play in 12vs12 servers. when the bomb goes off, it even goes lower, but thats usually at the end of teh round so i dont care.

hey kouch, those LE's are they all hittin gultra speeds though? HIDE, im not saying the GT is a bad card, its jsut i really didnt like those drops to 35fps. and about quake4, when is that coming out?
