Can not access For Sale/Trade Thread

I also have not logged on for a number of years and it will not allow me to access the for sale/trade section. I checked and my account has everything set to visible to everyone, is there anything else i need to do? Thanks, Chris

OPTY 165 or FX-55 which is better?

Im looking to trade my opty 165 for a fx-55, however i cannot find any reviews comparing the two chips. Soo... Which is a better cpu performance wise? I have my opty running 2.5ghz. Thanks!

Can the manufacturer tell when someone has fried their chip due to overclock?

just a thought, are you asking this because you "know" a person who is trying to RMA a fried chip? edit: they designed the thing and obviously have to know tell tale signs of OC fryedge.

HELP::Computer running sluggish after installing Opteron 165

Cool and quiet was the first thing i turned off. I may just do a full resinstall. I have it oc'ed 2.6ghz right now and thats why im worried about it running sluggish even oc'ed so well.

I just installed a opteron 165 and noticed my computer is sluggish when compared to my old opteron 146, any reason for this? I applied the microsoft hotfix and installed the amd dual core driver.

How to "unlid" your athlon 64

I belive you should be able to stick the 9500 on the bare chip since its retention thing lowers it onto the cpu and adds pressure. I was contemplating whether or not to try it with my new opty165.....pending possibilty :)

I have heard there is a hotfix and an amd update that I will need in order to run my new dual core processor properly. Anyone have the links to this information? The cpu i am getting is a dual core opteron 165...

Benefits of Opty over Amd 64 and compatibiliy with ASUS

my cpu has a 512k current cache. So the asus board i have should be able to handle a better OC? I ask this because my last nvidia neo 2plat. Only Oc'ed to 235, although it could be my current cpu limiting as well.

What is the major benefits of changing from standard socket 939 amd 64, to an opteron socket 939? Will my Asus a8n5x be compatible with any opteron chip? Any info is appreciated!!

Have Geforce 6800, upgrading to 7800GT

I just upgraded from a 6800gt to a 7800gtx, doubled my score in 3dmark 05 and run all games maxed at around 60+ fps. ITS WELLL WORTH IT.

The card boots and shows its bios it starts detecting drives, but as soon as it goes to begin windows it turns off the monitor and displays nothing, i tested other pcie cards and they detected and booted fine. I already updated the bios to the newest one. I have a 450w fortron psu 1gb...

36gb Raptor Problem??

But its a 36gb raptor shouldent it trasfer at least 50mbs? How do you enable dma modE?

36gb Raptor Problem??

I ran some tests on a raptor i recently traded for. Its only transferring around 13mbs i read a few reviews and it stated it should be more towards 60. Is this true? And what jumper settings should I have and is there any way to fix this problem? Thanks.

Why is my 3d mark 03' score so low?

I was wondering because i looked at 3d mark scores on their site, and some users with lower card and cpu speeds where scoring in the 20k or more range.

Why is my 3d mark 03' score so low?

Score: 13937 and cpu 1160 Any idea why im getting such a low score? My current system. Amd 64 3500+ @ 235x11 (2585) venice 939 Pny 6800GT OC to 420/1.18ghz 1 gb Patriot XBLK @ 235 2.5-3-3-6 Msi neo 2 plat mobo with mod bios Sound blaster audigy 2 zs.

Temps on CPU

Find a cheap xp-90 with a 92mm panaflo for about $35 ish..... Edit: Keeps my 3200+ venice Oc'ed to 2.8 at 24c.( could be wrong but who cares it works!) LOL :)

AMD 64 3200+ Venice Core OverClocking problem

Well if you take the ram out of the equation by sticking it at 100spd, it is most likely going to boil down to the mobo being a poor OC. I have a msi neo2 and the same chip and i can only oc it to about 230x11, at 240 + it boots but fails to load windows. So...... here is a nice guide to help...

is there a special way to remove my HSF

I work in a tech department and we always gently twist the cpu until it comes off, however be very careful after a few twists it will fall off! Believe me I bent a few pins the first time I tried that.(it hit the floor) HEH :)

did not diable sata 1 and 2, do i need to? Also i dunno about the volt thing Stock volt 1.55 then over by 5% seems to stick it at 1.55 volts. I think its reading the voltage incorrectly.

Well i have a fortron 450w psu i think its stable enough. I will try and set the agp back to 66mhz not 67. I loosened the timings to 3-4-4-8 during my OC.

im currently using a modded bios. Its the top on on this website. http://www.msi.sploitz.com/ note: also a great site for neo 2 bios! I have also heard the 1.8 bios OC's better.

i took them out of the eqution when doing the oc, divider for ram set to 100, multi at 6, htt at 3.
