I recieved my 2 new Samsung PC3200 dimms today. Hoped to increase my memory benchmark results significantly, by enabling the nforce2 dual channel DDR feature.
But it fails. Almost no advantages in SiSoft Sandra. :(
Nearly the same result, as with only one dimm.
Very disapointing...
Any comments ?
I own the GA-7VRXP and build a system for a friend on GA-7VAXP. Both run very stable and fast, much better than the previously used Asus A7V333.
I like Gigabyte very much. Stay with Gigabyte!
No stability issues here with a single 512mb PC2700 Samsung. Board is rockstable.
Have ordered one Corsair 512mb PC3500 CAS2. Will try for 430 MHz ram ;)
PLZ Ewan, can you tell us where to get this fabulous F3b Bios for the Gigabyte board? The Bios with these wonderful "new" options, the F2 bios hides me?
F2 (public bios) has no advanced Chipset features!

I can´t understand why Gigabyte doesn`t test their boards in overclocked state for only five minutes. :confused:
Unbelieveable that they release a board with this Vcore-reboot-bug again! :|

i use my old PC3200 Samsung, 1 Dimm 512MB
Also bios F2 does not give enough parameters, i.e. memory timings.
Ram performance is a notch faster now.

But the memory benchmark is poorly bad!

Gigabyte bumps out the Boards faster, than the webdesigners...
The GA-8IGXP would definitly be my choice since I´m very happy with my 8IRXP, except the f§$/§"%§$ boot issue.
Can´t understand Gigabyte´s decision not to sell this thing :(

Hm, i reached 11130 3dmarks with my overclocked leadtek 4200 on my GA-7VRXP.
Try disabling all shadow functions in bios, and raise the apperture size to 128 MB.
XP2100+ btw.

I updated from a Guillemot Xentor 32(TNT2U), and the difference is huge.
I found that registry entry that enables the tweak-utilities in the Detonator driver. But in Windows 2000 the changes are gone after the next restart. This just works for Win98.
I tried with Detonator 5.25 as well as 5.30.
Does anyone know what to do ? My new CL GF2 is stable with 220/380 and it...
