ELO was a great band. I listen to them once a month at least. Love the Discovery album. On that album I really like Wishing, Diary of..., and Need Her Love.

gtx570 or 6970?

I have both cards. They are close in performance and each one shines in certain games. I don't think you will go wrong with either. Best thing to do is get the one that runs the games you want to play the best.

My SB i7-2600k temps are unusually high for stock...

make sure your bios is updated. When I fist got my i2500k it was reading 43-45 stock idle, but after the bios flash, 30 idle.

Dual CRT problems with Sapphire 6970

Yup, my 280 GTX runs my NEC 2111 at 16x12, 85HZ. I'm gonna be a sad guy when it finally bites the dust.

10.12 made my 4890 unusable. Went back to 10.10 and all is great.

Acer HN274H 27" @120Hz?

All of this chatter makes me love my 21" CRT that much more. I played F:NV on my 22" LCD and then I played on my CRT at 1600x1200 at 85hz. The game looks lush, vibrant and smooth on my CRT. Such a better visual experience.

Pissed off with monitors. I need a decent 24-26" panel.

This kinda thread is why I love my CRT. Good luck OP. I'd switch to an LCD if I could find one that is better than my CRT, but none have fit that bill so far. I was hoping OLED might do it.

new toys - 9550 and H50

I have a Biostar P45 board and the same pieces you have above. It has been a bumpy road trying to OC my 9550 so far. I'm still trying to decipher what the heck I need to adjust to keep it stable.

[FINISHED] Wiretap's v351 Project

Fan speed controllers

I have used a couple different ones myself. I'm a fan of the this one and have used a couple over the years. Lights are kinda bright but i switched all mine to uv purple and it's a lot less glaring. Also has the ability to turn off one or more of the knobs/lights...

Fresh install of XP on Raptor 11g unallocated?

Hmm. I installed Win7 on a 150 and it said I had like 110 left. Something is amiss with both of our drives. Crap, I don't want to reinstall again, lol. Your 12 GB unallocated is odd...perhaps you didn't do a full partition erase? Thanks for looking it up tho! What did you use to reformat...

Unreal Tournament 2004 Demo servers still out there?

come to www.vctf.us and play on our server. It's going strong! Also, installing Vista with my 8800gtx and this game, the stuttering went away. There seems to be an issue with the way the card handles "zones" in XP. It's really night and day and the only reason I went to Vista in the first...

The editor has changed sufficiently as well. I can't even figure out how to lay down a texture, lol. I'm a 2k4 VCTF junkie and I'm afraid that the new iterations of the vehicles are very hard to steer.

What are good temps for cpus by various Motherboards?

I believe I'm having the same issues as the OP. I'm building one last hurrah before the DX10 migration. I have a A8R32-MVP, a X57 at 2.98 and a 1950xtx 512 version. It's for old times sake really and I got the proc for very very cheap. Anyway, this cpu runs at 44-45 at idle on this board...

NEC 20WMGX2 - Thinking of getting a Sony GMD-FW900 instead maybe.

I wouldn't give up my NEC FE2111SB for any LCD. Games look incredible and it can go 1600x1200 at a nice refresh rate. Sure it's big and heavy, but so worth it. I'll reconsider when the new OLED displays show up. Now those are BLACK.

Which 939 air cooler is the best?

I really like my xp90's. I have both the aluminum and copper versions and they both do a fantastic job. Plus the added cooling of the mosfets as a side note. I have heard the Tuniq is the best tho.

ATI Radeon X1900 XT...

I'll take one! BTW, Bigfoot, I also have a Neopower and the six pin plug that is set apart from the others is the one for pci-e cards. You should also have the cable for it...black and yellow wires only, a six pin connector on either side, one clearly marked "pci-e". It did get a little hot...

7800GT SLI ---> X1900XTX

Otis, I'm about ot go from the 7800gt oc sli set-up to a 1900xt myself. I can't get a good feel for what drivers folks seem to prefer though. I choose the 1900xt because it's a good deal cheaper than the xtx. Good luck.

How hard is it to mod a X850XT into single slot?

Howdy. I would trade you my BBA 800XT PE for your 850xt if you want. I have outfitted it with an Artic silencer already but I do have the stock hs. That way you have two options. I just need a card for my garage TV/UTserver. That is where the 800 is now. I turn on that machine on Friday...

Good overclock for 3700+ San Diego?

Hi. I have the same proc and I used to run it at 2662mhz at stock volts, 242x11 on an MSI Neo2. I just switched over to an Asus SLI system and have the proc at 237x11, approx 2.6 at stock volts on this mb. That was my initial attempt at an oc on this board. I needed to get the system...

9800 pro 128 to 6800GT?

If you can wait, they're saying that the new Ati 850, the one priced at 299, will be competative wit the 6800gt. The 850 will have 16 pipes as does the GT. I have a gt though, and I love it. I also went from a 9800pro to a GT. In ut2k4, what I play mostly, I can see a marginal difference...
