Hey guys, just received replacement card. What kinda dissapointed me was that box was open, S/N does not match. Could this be a problem in future if I want a RMA this one, or they won't watch/won't need box at all?Numbers were 5XX again, but it's working at 400/1100 looks like(came in 325/700)...

It would be unfair, if they would n't be claiming it's ok 700Mhz "cause it's like in 2D and than it's like 1100 in 3D"
egoadk
6800 LE is out of stock at zipzoom, any idea how are they gonna exchange it?
zidion
Good for you :)
But first I think is bette to talk to them. From what i c here, bot eVGA and Zipzoom are lying croocks - zipzoom lying it's ass off about "switching automaticly to 1100Mhz in 3D mode"- what a load of crap! And eVga too b/s-ing ppl, do whatever you want with BIOS, but...
racefan
Toldya these guys are scam..
egoadk
Well it gets even better. Now they might claim we flashed BIOS and voided warranty.Don't tell them about 700Mhz.I'm sending 1100 and sayng it's glitching.
egoadk
Just got letter from them.Don't really get, are they also gonna charge 15% restocking fee on this one, or it's only gonna happen when they refund?..
P.S. May be it's really good idea to contact eVga instead..
egoadk
Why send something defective?-Here's simple question - not too many ppl would bother to check memory/GPU speeds, that's why. Those guys who was packing/cheking/putting in BIOS knew exactly what they were doing. I strongly beleive that this is scam, and eVga is behind it. Cards with...
egoadk
If they made it 325/700 , must have been a reason for that, right? Nothing stange about getting glitches when you o/c it by almost twice i.e. 1100..

Here is idea: how far did you downclocked it?Try 325/700
Hobinator:
If you can run 3DMark2001 ok, it does not yet mean that you will run games fine..
racefan
They are not defective, they just ran at memory clocks lower than stating, that's all. It's called "missrepresenting advertised produkt" or something like that. You can actually downclock memory and it will work fine, but you won't be happy probably anyway.
racefan:
Try to run Nalu demo for a couple of minutes, than we'll see. If you don't have any black dots in that chick's hair, I'll reflash my BIOS too :D
BTW can you show the link to that new BIOS? Thanx.
Rhagz:
Well I've got Antec True Power 430W, so when coolbits starts bitchin about too...
Just another thought.Let's say they will RMA it, but you will receive same junky 325/700 uhh got feeling it'll keep on going like forever till u get normal 325/1100 :)
AWhackWhiteBoy
Well it does not matter whether you try evga-sent BIOS or the one wich guys here are providing. It's crystal clear, memory is unable to run at proposed speeds.Just one concern- will seller recognize that BIOS was changed from 325/700 to 325/1100(like it declarde and should be) or...
Hey guys,if card came in 325/700, after flashing memory wouldn't run stable at 1100, can you return it witout flashing back? Will it void any warranty or will they know you flashed it?.Thanx!
