PS3's RSX has been down graded in frequency. Link inside

Just checked gamespot & they have a lineup of titles which are most anticipated. The PS3 title line is really impressive although I don't like the PS3 itself.

Ugh, 91.45 XGs are buggy junk :P

I'm playing farcry (last stage) patched 1.33 with the tweakrus version of 91.45 but there is no crashing for me (Asus EN7900GT unvoltmodded). Haven't tried HL2.

just saw the official trailer 3 from gamespot, this game will rock dude! I doubt if the 7900 would be an overkill or even play it at full eye candy. Just see the trailer and comment.

So, does the 7950GX2 count as a single card solution?

I see it as a card that takes 1 pci-e slot, hence single slot card physically.

COME ON ANANDTECH

Just bought an Asus EN7900GT 256MB for a price less than leadtek & XFX in dubai & it play good with SS2 & Doom3 ROE (4xAA & 16xAF @ 1600*1200) & I haven't even voltmod it. XFX & Leadtek were 1650AED & I got Asus for 1400AED

what video card was your favorite? (that you own/owned)

Mine is MSI Geforce Fx 5900 128MB. It got me excited when I modded it 5950U which is a much more expensive card.

the way i think about multicore is that the OS should be optimized for it rather than the application. Word doesn't know there are single core or multicore processor, it the os, the kernel's job to handle hoe to divide the time of the cpu to process the information and at what priority. As...

Back in my search for the perfect hard drive

Seagate as in barracuda, other models i don't know much about. Maxtor is also good since i have used it & sold it too, never had any reliability prob. My current HDD is 80GB seagate baracuda and 160GB Western Digital SATA forgot the model.

Memory Problem

Setting it to 2.5-4-4-7, now both rams are working, although the performance mode is still set to Ultra-Turbo. Thanks for the advice. Sorry for being noob but what does those timings mean and how it affects my system and memory and what would be the best value i can get using both memory?

well right now i am at friends home typing this message. I can change my voltage setting for the memory but the prob. is that if i put both memory together the system boots automatically, not even being able to get into explorer (not ie).

About Bandwidth

What i'm trying to say that the average r/w speed of hardrives is around 50/40 MBytes/s with max upto 70. It seems that gigabit ethernet cannot be used to full potential, just half on the max on a desktop pc, if not then how is it accomplished??

About Bandwidth

There are network cards that do 1Gbit & even 4Gbit & i think even 8 Gbit has been introduced for web servers. My question is that 1 Gbit = 1000/8 = 125 MB/s apporximate, can be accomplished by pc when you HDD is ATA 150 which is also not used completely??

Slow access to shaerd folder on 2k3 serverr?????

try putting sp1 for win2k3 We had a prob with file sharing from win2k3, it used to hang after about a month, but after upgrading to sp1 if works perfect.

Theres is a graphic plugin for the psx emulator 'epxse' by pete which uses OGL 2.0 & it works perfectly on my 5950u(5900mod) at 1600*1200 res.

If you set your regional setting to US you don't have a prob. Actually the winxp prof. doesn't has version on country based, i don't know about home cause never used it. But surely its the same.

if all the planets aligned....

A little out of topic I read somewhere that the gravitational forces of the planets also generate some specific types of hormones in us i.e. like the moon has tidal effects, it also affects us. Anyone has some detail info on this or this is just a theory? I read in some astronomy book.
