Radeon 5850 fan is louder than normal. Warranty has already expired, what do I do?

I tried cleaning out my case and spraying with some compressed air to no effect. It seems like after a while, the noise gets less noticeable as the computer heats up. Would WD-40 do anything, or is that a stupid question?

If I RMA a Radeon 5850, what card am I likely to get as a replacement

That's what their website says, but Newegg told me yesterday to contact Sapphire anyway because Newegg's warranty is only 30 days.

Bought the card back in November 2009, and it's starting to die- green lines and dots all over the left side of the screen. Since this card has been out of production for a while, what is the manufacturer (Sapphire) likely to give me as a replacement?

Upgrade my HD5850? To what? Or should I be looking at upgrading other components?

I do see slowdowns in some games, especially the Oblivion mod Nehrim. Not unbearable but it would be nice if I could fix it.

HD5850 Overclocking

I have a Sapphire 5850. Never flashed the BIOS, just used the AMD GPU Clock Tool. I'm running Furmark now and MSI Afterburner is showing my clock speeds at 825/1175. Maybe some cards are locked and others are not? EDIT: Check this out...

i7 920 D0 @ 4GHz needs lower temps

I have the same processor which I'm also running at 4ghz. Cores 1 and 2 seem to top out at about 81C with Prime95 running, while cores 3 and 4 don't really seem to go above 76C. I'm using a Titan Fenrir for my cooler. Are these temps cause for concern? EDIT: Just tested it at 3.66ghz and it...

I think drug tests are stupid too...BUT, insurance companies are not the morality police. If their actuaries didn't have statistical proof that drug testing reduces workplace accidents, they wouldn't offer discounts to companies that have them.

Fermi possibly delayed til March or April

The 5 series for ATI seems to be the exact opposite of Nvidia's 5 (FX) series- it runs cool, quiet, and has a big performance lead. The one thing they seem to have in common is that the yields are crap.
