    from my experience, raptor is much faster than old ide (pata) drive. But just so so compared with recent sata drive. Plus raptor is way too NOISY, I would rather keep a quiet samsung sata than the raptor for silence tradeoff.

    applied 91% isopropyl alcohol for two days, but the temp still shows 47-52 under normal use (like web browsing and light app). Stand by for a while, temp drops to 42-44c, and quick jump back to 47c when the monitor is trigger. I did find that in another thread people is complaining the same...

    Upgraded my 3000+ to 3400+ , both 754. The first thing noticed is that idle temp jumped from 33c to 50c! Although zalman + arctic silver 5 is used. The previous 3000+ is oced to 2.2G(220x10) and the 3400+ is a little oced to 2.53c (220x11.5). Running prime95, the temp reached 64c! Is this 3400+...

    Is the a64 754 pin? early 754 pin cannot oc too much, my 3000 2g can only oc to 2.2g, rev is early version. you may want to look at 3200 or 3400. just my .02

    yeh, second that. my rig is simliar, and shows 11.5 when loaded, however using a multimer it shows clearly 12.02. I would rather believe the real mm than the software. For the game crashing, I doubt it is the video card issue, overheating? I experienced same crashing due to overheating.
