oh cool! Thanks everyone! sorry i didnt understand at first, but i think i do now. i dont have a second NIC so i cant just test things out. i wanted to know if/how it was possible before i spend some coin on a wireless adapter; now i do. gotta go order a wireless adapter. later

is it possible to share files but not internet??

My computer is connected directly by Ethernet to my DSL modem for internet access. If I add a wireless network adapter will I be able to share files with other computers in my house? The catch is the other computers I want to share files with are connected to a linksys wrt54g wireless router...

I need three Silent fans in uncommon sizes.

I can't find teh exact CFM for my projector but i did find that the average amount of CFM for a 50mm fann is 9-17 CFM and a 60mm fan is 15-25 CFM are there any quiet fans that move the upper range of air listed?

i was being cute earlier, but the noise of this projector is no petty complaint it runs at 40db! when you shut it down the third fan kicks in ans the thing is as loud as a vacuum. i hear what you are saying but i was hoping that there was some pioneering technology to quiet fans than just moving...

thanks ribbon 13. i will take your word for the DVD drive (i dont use cheap media so i am not to worried about which drive i end up with as long as it burns at full speed). The PSU looks good but i could not find how quiet (or loud) that PSU is rated at (any thing les than 25db will work)...

thanks joe yeah i thought about the kvm route, but have you checked out the prices of a DVI kvm switch? they cost more than the video card i listed above. can anyone tell me how systems with three monitors work? has anyone run two similar but non identical GPU's?
