I think you are a little confused, THe Wan gets a DHCP IP for the wan only. The PC's will get a DHCP from the router , but you need to give the E0/0 and E0/1 an IP address, and set the DHCP scpoe in the router.

IP's of apache servers reset, wont see DHCP

the Ip address you got, is a dead giveaway for a DHCP problem, It is the default DHCP address Microsoft give if it cant find a DHPC server on the network

newbie needs network help

open a command prompt, type ping 127.0.0.1, this will test the NIC to make sure TCP/ip is bound to the card. Make sure the Nic has An IP address, Is it the same network Number as the router, 192.168.2.# 255.255.255.0 and make sure the gateway is the IP address of the router if it is Xp type...

networking problem

what OS are you using? strange the PC wont ping it's own IP address. try Ping 127.0.0.1, this will test the TCP/IP stack bound the the NIC. I would say it is fine if you can get to the internet,

http://www.coyotelinux.com/ I have used this Linux for a few years, they have a free version that works well, But the Wolverine firewall is worth the money. easy to set up, works with PPOE and DHCH on the wan side.
