What do you mean ? This board has the 5.5 clock multiplier and K6-x CPU's provide 2x=6x remapping.

Overclocking 400 AMD

Safe voltage increase is in the +0.2v/+0.3v range. 2.4v AHX core can run with 2.7v without problem. Overclocking a K6-2 is easier than o/c the K6-III so you should hit 450 / 500 without problem (with proper cooling). Cooling is very important. If you are using stock cooling, you can't overclock...

K6-2 300 vs. K6-3 450+ from PCLiquidator

You can check at http://www.amdzone.com/forum/ Select K6-x forum Some people got this K-III+ 450 from PCLiquidator and clocked it @ 600 !!. The difference with a K6-2 300 is like day and night.

<< 75 or 83x5 would be stable >> It can work. Maybe you'll need to put a bit more voltage (+0.2v/+0.3v). Don't forget cooling that helps to get stable for long run at full load. 75x6=450 (x2 on the board) or 83*5.5 would be a nice result. But you'll need huge cooling.

1. Bios update can help to detect the K6-III. 2. Programs allows to enable some internal features that the old bios doesn't. 3. With 2x=6x remapping, this board can clock @ 6x66 = 400 (the 366 K6-III can run @ 400-450).

What's a K6-III/333

AMD K6-III/333 and 350 can be clocked like a K6-III 400. You can set the FSB to 100. You'll probably hit 450 with this CPU.

K6 & Peltier benches

Don't use a peltier with stock hsf. This heatsink is not able to keep all the heat generated by CPU+TEC. Your CPU and TEC will become damned hot !! You must have better cooling to reach 450 or more with this chip.

k6-3 400 or k6-2 450?

Are you using the 3Dknow patches ? http://www.3dnow.net/ K6-III is faster than K6-2 but especially for general computing (integer). Of course, the full speed L2 is perfect for a 66Mhz FSB upgrade but spending 100$ for that ? Only if you can't change the legacy 66Mhz mobo. The second problem is...
