WAS HOT! Gateway has a 21" Widescreen Monitor for $599.99

I picked up the Samsung 930B last night, and it looks great, still tweaking it. But then I notice today that Circuit City has the Gateway (FPD2185W) on sale for $527.99 before tax. Of course, it's out of stock and not available in stores... :(

Samsung 910MP vs 930B

I picked up the 930B, because its cheaper and has a DVI input (forsome reason, I had written down that the 910MP did... duh!).

Samsung 910MP vs 930B

I'm looking at getting a 19" LCD, and am wondering if these two use the same panel? The specs look the same (both 1280x1024, 8ms, 700:1, etc). Is one better than the other? Thanks! Mike

Picked one up from the Oakdale, MN store - 39.99. There wasn't a price on the self, and the were opposite the rest of the apc/cyberpower ups, with the end of the carton facing the isle. If you weren't looking for them, you wouldnt find them. It looked like they had 9 or so. I may pick up...

Which MB/CPU combo would be a better choice...

Socket 939 & AGP motherboard

I was thinking of getting the MSI K8N NEO2 Platinum motherboard, but it doesn't seem to be instock anywhere. Is there another motherboard that might be a better choice, or do I stick it out and wait? Also, been reading up on the nForce3 and K8T800 Pro, but can't figure out which one is...

TiVo $150 MIR Newegg price $89.99 before rebate

Thanks! I didn't know about the weeknees page. One more question: I was looking at the fine print on the rebate form, and it says "DVRs with TiVo Basic service are not eligible for the $150 rebate." Does that mean to get it with the Toshiba units, you'd have to sign up for TiVo Plus?

Seagate 160GB $20 AR/AC Best Buy DEAD REBATES EXPIRED

Got one at the Woodbury, MN Magnolia store (just like a regular BB but no over head shelves and less on each shelf... :) It was the last one on the self, but I'd bet they had more in back. No questions asked either, $106.49 out the door, $26.49 AR. THANKS!

3-Ring Binder Pages for 8 CDs, $0.28 ea., 50-Pack = $14.00

I ordered one pack of 50 pages and the binder, and after putting 15 pages in it filled with cds and dvds, it's not even 1/2 full. It can probably hold 40+ pages full.

ATI AIW X800XT - no Overdrive Tab

I just got the ATI AIW X800XT and installed the latest drivers from ATI. I was reading about tweaks at tweakguides.com and noticed that I don't have an Overdrive Tab. I'm using the ATI Control Center (as opposed to the Control Panel) but it looks like it would be on both. Did I mess up...

which is faster, socket A/XP cpu or socket 754/Sempron?

So for the s754, it'd probably be better to get 1 stick of 512? I've got the first rig, but with two sticks of 512MB ram in dual channel. And sorry for the dumb question, but what's the effect of dual channel? I'm thinking of putting the second rig together for my brother, either that or...

Can you install SP2 without having installed SP1 or SP1a?

I'm reinstalling WinXP Home, and was wondering if I had to install SP1a (since SP1 is no longer downloadable) or could I just install SP2? And is there a difference (besides time) betweening installing SP2 from CD or slipstreaming it? Thanks!

noob NF7-S set up and video card question

I'm setting up my my new system (updating from a k6 system finally) and have a question: What do I set the FSB and multipler to for basic setting (non-overclocked, for now)? The specs on newegg say it's FSB is 266MHz, so do I set it at that with a multipler of 6.5? or do I have things wrong...

Chaintech GeForce 6600 $145 + $5 shipping at Newegg

I think Newegg is displaying the wrong box. If you look at it, just above the 64bit, it says 128MB, and the description, model #, and detailed specifications all say 256MB. Has anyone contacted newegg to see which one it really is?

I'm rebuilding my WinXP system, and wondering what order I should have my hard drives. I've currently got: WD 80G as C:\ with Windows, My Documents, and Program Files and WD 120G; 2G as F:\ Windows Swap file and 40G as G:\ with Games and files I've downloaded I'm planning on picking up...
