ATI Silencer 3 won't fit ATI 9800 Pro 256mb

I just found this out as well. I originally bought a 3 and my fan just died (maybe a month after I got it). Upon looking for another one, I made the same discovery that you did. You need to get this one here. Joy. There's also some weirdness going on with the ATI Silencer 4 Rev. 2 - it...

Any one know why? I went to buy one today and saw that it was pulled of the market as of 5-17-2005.

Jeff7, How do you set your Silencer to high? I'm trying to figure out how to control the fan speed on mine because I keep on hearing that people can set it to high or low . . . Thanks in advance

Possible to control fan speed on Artic Cooling VGA Silencer . . .

The Silencer is plugged into the video card header. I assume I'd have to plug it in to a Molex with a controller to adjust the speed? Or is there software out there that will let me control the voltage on the 9800 Pro header? Thanks in advance.

I have a question about telephone wiring and rj-45 cable.

You should be fine, however double-up on the last two pair (connect them in parallel) to make sure you have enough copper to handle the 24V DC push button. You shouldn't have interference issues, especially if you're not pushing that button all day! I guess that depends on what this button...
