Pre-orders for Toshiba HD-A3, HD-A30, and HD-35 HD DVD players are now available

Not bad, but the current 5 free hd dvds expires sept. Toshiba may or may not renew it for the 3rd gen systems set to release in October. Either buy the A2 now, or hope that the A3 comes with a better deal.

Many HD-DVD and Blu Ray moves at Amazon Buy 2 Get 1 Free

Paramount and Dreamworks just dropped bluray support. That's a huge blow to blu-ray. Hence, the tides have turned to HD-DVD. It's seesawing, but this is the biggest blow yet in my opinion. Content always wins in the end.

This player outputs 720P/1080i, not 1080p. Image quality will depend on the deinterlacing properties of the display, but generally won't be quite as good as a 1080p player. The Xbox 360 outputs 1080p. I guess it only matters if you have a 1080p display, but if you do, the nod goes to the xbox...

That's some nice results for dual core. I've actually hit a 2.66 p4 northwood up to 4ghz on default before. These intel processors seem to overclock great. The only problem seems to be controlling the heat and throttling. It's almost like in addition to the price/performance rating...
