I should probably make a thread about this. The sheer size and power draw of these GPUs has to limit the potential market you need a seriously well designed and cooled case, beefy power supply etc. etc. and the stupid thing is going to roast your room. Does not seem like a mass market design...
Could be, only a sample size of 2. But see der8auer on YT AMD is having issues with their vapour chamber heatsinks. I'm not saying Nvidia is perfect the difference is Nvidia can screw up royally and get away with it, AMD does it and it gets amplified 10x. Same has happened multiple times on the...
100C may be considered "normal" but it shouldn't be. Also can AMD please kick their board partners in the arse and get them to improve their quality control? I have two Red Dragon 6800XT cards they both had the same problem, GPU not contacting the cooler properly. Easy enough fix I removed the...
The guy at 20:05 has to pee so bad.
This looks good but I'll wait to see it in game on my own system. I've grown very jaded of the latest thing turning out to be a small step change.
Nvidia drivers have their own issues. If I use the professional drivers then my Adobe applications are good but my games suck, if I go with the game driver then Adobe apps take a dump constantly.
This is exactly where I thought performance would be I'll be picking up the XTX when partner cards are available.
Strongly disagree joey transport is safe for a kitten.
Fishing pole and reel community getting bent out of shape? I see what you did there.
PC's are in a bad place right now, Nvidia is hell bent on keeping their profit margins and the performance crown (what else is new) but this time we are literally getting space heater video cards. I don't want...
Maybe I'm reading things wrong but are some of you suggesting AMD should have the same performance with far less power draw? Sure Nvidia is the performance king but even putting pricing aside, power draw and form factor has become absurd.
I thought I liked RT more than I actually did. After watching the A/B/C tests where you don't know which has RT enabled, I was not always sure which had the eye candy. The performance hit is not even close to being worth it.
Because HUB didn't wave the Nvidia flag the way they wanted, Steve Walton is now a "slightly AMD-biased Youtuber"? BTW Jensen is 100% concerned or there would have been no retraction.
I'll probably get flamed for this but ultimately this is the fault of reviewers. They could avoid all issues and influences from Nvidia, AMD etc. by buying their own hardware. I know, "day zero" reviews are supposedly paramount but if all reviewers got their hardware independently the problem...
Did I just step into an alternate reality? What is going on? Nvidia has been playing dirty pool for as long as I can remember but somehow now people are just noticing? And make no mistake this back stabbing win at all cost gaslighting predatory corporate culture comes straight from the top.
