you might be right, So you have all settings at stock, I turned down gamma and brightness via my ati control panel and the monitor brightness is at 50%.

As for my 2005FPW it came flawless with 0 dead pixels and no backlight leakage issue. The D-sub cable was connected for obvious testing purposes by them.

No all programs work fine for me and fit the demensions of the screen perfectly as does every game and movie that I played/watched. I think he means the outlook 2003 is just a little bit smushed due to the shorter screen height.
No s-video composite has worse quality. TV tuners are a thing of the past no one use's regular tv antenna anymore practily everyone has Cable or Satillite these days.

It takes the 1680x1050 in hl2 quite well no studdering at all with details on high, Lower resolutions look weak on desktop not as crisp as native. Since I had the monitor only hl2 and nfsu2.

I bought one of these monitors its on its way, I will do many tests with pictures of how games run etc.. I cant believe how most people get scared away by the resolution.. Als most all newer games support custom resolutions and if they dont there is hacks.

I wouldnt worry about the gaming resolution as almost all new games can be forced to change resolutions to 1680x1050 without any problems.
