Tried the relaxed timings and it still fails, however, it takes longer now. Now i'm running with 3 sticks and its working fine. Any other thoughts?

The mobo is set to AUTO for all the timing settings. Would it make sense that I would need to manually set timings? The other issue is that it will freeze even when I am in the BIOS, so I don't think I'll be able to make the changes.

Could it be possible that the CPU is not seated correctly? I'm not using any thermal grease, but the pad on the heatsink, i'll try reseating and if not apply thermal grease to it, thanks for the advice!

Thats what I thought. I read online about some bug in the Nvidia driver that has given a lot of people trouble. I've owned Nvidia cards before, but never had this issue. I'll try installing the drivers in safe mode and see what happens.

I've got a 360 and have been relatively impressed with it since launch (although my first console was defective). The games have improved a lot since those launch titles and are only getting better. Also, Sony seems to be expecting people to buy PS3 not for games, but for the movies as well...

Bios Password workaround?

You could also pull the CMOS battery to clear the password. EDIT: Looks like you already tried that, maybe you need to leave it out of the box for a few minutes? Otherwise do what the poster above suggested.

Xbox 360 wireless controllers

"Usually" it would work when I did that. However, i'm also using the sync button (little button at the top) on the controllers and the system itself. I'm surprised Microsoft didn't opt to have separate channels available on the controller...this would have alleviated a lot of problems.

Xbox360 on non HDTV - Technical Help Please

My DirecTV reciever has the option of outputting 480i/p 720p and 1080i. On a standard def set at 480i there is no discernable difference in image quality on the SD vs. HD channels. On a big screen there is a world of difference, you can't even compare the two.

My order shows the same thing, I'd really hope that is a gross overstatement. 2 weeks to ship would be awful. Best part is you can return in-store, so I may try and get one on launch day anyway and return the CC one.
