Samsung 590D 4K monitor... ?

I purchased this last week to replace a Monoprice Zero-G 1440p IPS display at home. I'm in IT, and have 4 1440p IPS monitors at work. The Samsung has received pretty good reviews, but even after adjustments, the windows picture just seems horrible. Did I forget how bad TN displays are...

I've received 3 PMs about what calibration settings I use. I really didn't do much in the hardware as the controls are very rudimentary; I did extensive software calibration and also make use of an app called "ScreenBright"

Anecdotal. Three G700s at home, one at work (in an environment with a ton of logitech wireless mice) - the only issue I've had is when I spilled sweet tea and could find no way of cleaning the mouse contacts.

Good deal I suppose for the nostalgia factor for oldies. I wonder though, as comedy doesn't always age well for some reason. Cheers, Nightcourt, Friends, Seinfeld, etc. are almost painful to watch now, but I remember loving them when they were running.

Need a gaming laptop

"Good value." There are no good values in the laptop gaming space. You will pay serious jack and/or make serious compromises for a laptop which can push pixels. What games do you play, expect to play? What resolution? What type of battery life do you need? Screen size?

Do wireless mice still suck?

I love them - won't used wired mice ever again. For travel, I have use a long lasting Logitech MX Nano. This thing can go months between battery swaps. I use Logitech G700s at both work (software development) and my home gaming rig. I use a Razor Naga Ultimate on my home server - this mouse...

Processor not going the right multiplier?

Are you running any benchmarks? I had a 2500k also, and no matter what settings I used, it showed in cpuZ as stock. However, at 4Ghz, the windows experience CPU score moved 2 pips.
