Adding another 2gig stick to my system for 4gb total

Anyone have any ideas? I have a new laptop with vista home premium. It comes with one 2gig stick and one 1 gig stick. I took out the one and put in another two gig stick. The bios sees four gigs but the system properties only sees 3 gigs.

Well I installed xp, drivers, and WoW on a new harddrive and it seems to run fine there. Guess i've narrowed down the cause of my issue.

Ok tried putting the page file on another drive and it didn't work. I alt tabbed out of wow and when I came back in the ground had disappeared again and became the color of the sky.

Alright will do. I've done memtest86 and passed with flying colors. I do have many hd's so will try moving the paging file. The bios I think does sat it's set to 2t timings if I switch it from auto to manual. Which very well may mean it's running it "auto" as 2t. I have one stick in each blue...

While that's possible it wouldn't make sense why two different brands would cause the same issue. Also my ram is prob one of the most popularly used ram on the 939 boards. You'd expect there to be a widespread issue if the board not liking the ram was the case.

So uninstall WoW completely including the BC? What about the remaining folders it leaves behind? Would I also be downloading the original game from that site or would I be reinstalling it from my discs and then using the BC download to install BC?

No I haven't reloaded the OS yet. I didn't think that was the issue as other things work fine and WoW use to work just fine. I rather make sure it's not any other issue because uninstalling an OS and reinstalling the OS/every other application I have is the last option for me. Way too time...
