Thanks Boonesmi! Why XP? I'm not into overclocking or anything, but I am looking for the best performance. Do you know of any diagrams that show what the power connector should look like for a P4? Anyone else have a thought on the AMD or P4 system (performance etc.). Thanks again!

Hey all, Otay, here's the problem. A customer of mine is trying to dial out with a modem using Win2K and wasn't getting anywhere. I found that they had their connection setup so that it would dial a 9 to get an outside line.....which they didn't need. So, we took that out of the dialing...

What happened to that Great WinXP FAQ...haven't been here in awhile!?

UGGHH Please Help! 8KHA+ Was working fine....now nothing

Well SON OF A.....yeah, my system sounds the same! Stuck on FF (without any of the cycling) with absolutely no video signal. Great....just got done with surgery for a nasoseptoplasty (so I can breath better) and was looking forward to playing all weeked......NOOOOOOO :( Thanks for your help!

Anyone else hear that TI500 is not going to be produced anymore cause of defects?

Questions on Dual Boot (Win98 / Win2K) system:

Yup....I have the same config (except with WinXP). First drive is Fat32 with Win98 on it, the second drive is NTFS with WinXP on it. Works great!

Would adding 5400 drive to ATA100 IDE slow it down?

Thanks for the reply bocamojo.&nbsp; I do have a decent ATA-100 Cable.&nbsp; So you are saying that I won't see any system degradation (performance wise) putting in that hard drive? Another Question:&nbsp; Why have I heard that you aren't supposed to put a CD Drive on the same IDE...

Hey all...I just found an old 5400 rpm drive and I wanted to put it in my new system. I have a CD-Drive and a DVD-Drive on IDE 2, and a 7200 rmp HD on IDE1 (using ATA-100 cable). If I put this old drive on the same IDE cable as my HD, would that slow down the performance of my 7200 rpm drive...

Building new computer with 8K7A

I actually just bought an 8K7A on monday....RMA'd it yesterday :( I know one of the biggest issues is getting a minimum volatage supplied from your PowerSupply....and if that is not occuring you will get lockups etc. I couldn't get my system (8K7A, AMD 1.4, G2 Pro) up and running no matter...

No sound - something internal I don't know about?

Are you saying that you have integrated sound AND a PCI Sound card in the computer? If so, why are you using the integrated sound (holes near the serial and parallel port) and not the PCI Sound card (I'm assuming that the PCI sound card would be a better card)? Just wondering.
