Well it does allow you to OC other components than just the CPU. All sorts of bus speeds get a boost with a higher BLCK, and even just upping it a few percent actually gives measurable results. I've even seen several motherboards that come with BLCK at one tiny notch over 100 as standard...

Need recommendation for good HDD scan/health check

Actually checked out richcopy. I didnt see any explorer integration though. I think its a much more heavy-duty utility for moving massive amounts of data once in a while, not for daily use for all kinds of data (atleast it looked that way). Teracopy is perfect though. With the new features...

Applying heatsinks to power circuitry components

Have to agree with Modelworks on this one. While additional cooling would have SOME effect (they generally are slightly more effective at lower temps) it wouldnt make much practical difference and thus not be worth the effort. If you really wanted to tho, you could just cut up some small pieces...

Gigabyte fraud? H55 as P55

The only significant difference between the P55 and H55 AFAIK is that the H55 has the support for the video output from the IGPs on the I3/i5s. Its probably the exact same chip im thinking. -Stigma

Short ansewer: no, there isn't. The biggest difference you'l find is what they bundle with their cards, and what cooling solution they use (most use reference designs, but not all). -Stigma

If I had to answer, I'd say pipelines or fillrate (those are connected obviously). However, thats not really a good answer. Obviously, the raw specs only give you a glimpe at best, and only looking at ONE part of the specs gives you even less of a glimpse. Its the combination of pipelines...

Weird wall at 240Mhz bus. Need a bit of help from the forum gurus

Well im using HTTx3 now of course, but now im way way further up than before =) Update: 275 rock stable in prime for an hour now, using 1.5 Vcore. I have no doubt it can go higher, but I think I will pause it for now, until I get my proper cooling system in place. I'l have to recalibrate...

Stable in short prime test at an amazing 275Mhz bus now. Im sure I can get it even higher, but all this testing takes a ton of time, and inching forward from this point will take even longer. I'l drop an progress update in here though when i get the time, for those that might be interrested...

yea, i meant 1.4 obviously, or else it would be one hell of a stock voltage hehe. Il try those settings out, and see what I end up with. Couple of questions tho: Why run HTT at 3x? Allready at 4x its below the default 1000. (4x239=956). I don't understand the reasoning behind lowering it...
