Been really happy with the Lian 2100 since I installed the plus kit to get rid of more of the video card heat. The extra room in the case is nice for working in and the heat isn't trapped in one area. And the case is pretty quiet.

Using the SI-120 I'm down to 30c at Idle and 38 under full load with my 3800 Venice. Couldn't be happier with this sink and would recommend it. Didn't care for the XP-90 as well because it was a little harder to install and didn't get too much better than stock temps with it.

I would say most generally you have to reinstall windows when going to a new motherboard. Unless it is just a Rev change say from Rev 1. to Rev 2. then I would try the current installation of Windows.
Since my Lian 2100 doesn't have a reset switch I can't warm boot the machine. But when booting from cold... no power applied (I have a rocker panel switch surge protector) thats when the machine fails to boot intermittently.

Are you letting the motherboard control the speed and voltage to the fan. I have a 120mm BX Panflo fan on my SI-120 and I just set the upper voltage limit to 11 volts at the high limit. If I go to 12 volts it will also vibrate the case under a full CPU load so I kick it back to 11v.

Really didn't care at all for the XP-90. But their SI 120 is the one to get if you have the room. After a load on the CPU this sink really drops the temps down to idle temps way faster. Providing you have cool and quiet enabled. I wasn't getting too much better than stock temps with the XP-90...
