Do you have any solid evidence of that at all? I have friends that don't like America (not the people mind you) because of how we use our military might to push our laws and opinions on countries that really could care less, and then try to claim moral superiority while severely lacking...
Depends on your definition I guess. I consider anyone who collects, edits, and presents news to be a journalist. Assange fits under that category afaik.
From what I understand he asked U.S. authorities to help censor sensitive information but they refused, and told him not to leak anything...
Most likely you don't have the repo enabled. Here just download this deb.
To enable all the repositories go to System > Admin > Administration > Software Sources, and make sure every check box besides source code is checked and then hit close. You will be asked to reload your package database.
You need the firmware installed. Hit ALT+F2, type gnome-terminal in the box that comes up, hit enter, and then in the terminal window that comes up type the following command.
sudo apt-get install firmware-b43-installer
I have the perfect program for you: Sequoia View
It visualizes used space on your hard drive as rectangles of varied size. The larger the rectangles, the larger the file or directory. Hope that helps.
Many of the wealthy inherit their money from their parents/family. That's not achieving anything. The situation we have right now feels like a modern form of divine mandate. IMO, those that benefit the most from our current system of government (wealthiest) should also contribute the most to its...
I'm also about to purchase a new graphics card and I was judging between those two cards myself. I love AMD because of their open source driver direction in the Linux world but honestly, in this case the gtx 460 performs better and for a substantially lower price.
This is the one I'm thinking...
NTLDR is the Windows bootloader. The Linux equivalent would be GRUB. What usually causes that error message is a corrupt boot loader. Just install Ubuntu (which will overwrite the corrupt bootloader with grub in the process). Then you'll be able to wipe the drive using the Windows XP install cd...
Right now I have a 320GB Seagate drive. It's doing very well so far and I have no complaints but I'm planning to make a huge upgrade in a few months and I've decided that I want to do as much as I can to minimize HDD bottleneck.
I'm looking at either going with a 74GB 15k rpm scsi drive for...
He's been updating his original post while settling on the build. I'd still recommend getting a seagate instead of the raptor. Its not much slower and can provide a great deal more space at a lower price. Thats one kickass computer though, let us know what you get out of it if you ever decide to...
Btw influence with Khelgar is incredibly easy once you get to the dwarf part of the game. Just support anything he says, especially when it comes to honor or their history or whatever.
500w is much more than you will need for that setup. (your computer might get to half that with all those extra hard drives :P)
Your case is 2cm larger than my P180, which has room to spare with the heatsink attached.
If you want to OC that processor, replace the biostar with this board. I could show you some examples of what people reach with similar setups. Also replace the TT psu with this seasonic, a slightly more expensive but much more reliable solution.
This stuff is insane, though its a little...
Just came out a few hours ago. Stability + usability seem to be the major focus of this release according to the changelog. Check it out.

Yeah, all new members are just bots created by companies to periodically let everyone know about their new product/service/whatever. Hmm or maybe people hear about this thing and come to a forum associated with a tech review site to see if this new thing is worthwhile. AT'ers are starting to...
965 is the newer chipset, so they will definitely continue making those. In the next few weeks motherboards with the newest ati and nvidia chipsets will be coming.
lol, btw there are such things as hot swappable pci cards and sata drives. So its possible to plug something in while the computer is running and have it work but I dont like the idea myself.
OEM just means it wont come with the retail box, hsf and accessories (and I think it comes with a shorter warranty)
They are the same chips just packaged differently.
Yep came through for me too, they are definitely getting a good review for giving me my conroe present early :)
btw mikepaul, they just got several hundred in a short while ago, you should have a tracking number by now. (if you bought a 6300, the other models arent in I dont think)
Who cares if it can do sli? If you cant afford an E6300 + mobo I doubt you'll be buying two pci-e cards. Netburst is complete trash (except when you are encoding). If you make the processor run faster it will consume more power, simple physics. It consumes as much power as an fx-60 at stock, so...
got one, enjoy spending all that money.
Edit: Monarch C2D combos are up, but wont ship until august 27th?
